Master Fox Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Is it any different to watching it? I suppose so. I don't bother so i wouldn't know. The last game i went to was Bristol City. I stopped enjoying going months ago.
Maybes Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 They will win, what are the odds on it? Best odds are 12/5 mate.
Floating Fox Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 But if Sheff Wed win tomorrow, we're back in the zone. Also 3 points behind Wednesday if they win. A win against them would only draw us level with them. Barnsley 4 points clear of us as well. We'll need Cov and Blackpool to carry on dropping points. Technically still in our own hands though....
Daggers Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 The ones not on the pitch are the ones with the voice in their heads saying "hey that's a fookin stupid idea" The voices in my head were drowned out by the loud gobshite next to me!
Kilworthfox Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 The voices in my head were drowned out by the loud gobshite next to me! I don't usually have a problem with her
Daggers Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 I think to call her a gobshite is very harsh I didn't
davieG Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 So what if the bloke had a knife or a gun? I hardly think the Stewards are going to be nicey-nicey when it comes to a pitch invader, especially in the current climate where crime is as it is. I comment the stewards actions, the nob shouldn't have been on the pitch, the warnings are there in writing. Again missing the point my question was why was this guy treated harshly yet the 30+ fans standing on the stairs abusing their own fans were allowed to continue, are the management of the club more important than the fans being abused.
Daggers Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 ...are the management of the club more important than the fans being abused. This is rhetorical, right?
Flynny Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Again missing the point my question was why was this guy treated harshly yet the 30+ fans standing on the stairs abusing their own fans were allowed to continue, are the management of the club more important than the fans being abused. In what way was he treated harshly? Should they have given him another 10 minutes before stopping him?
davieG Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 In what way was he treated harshly? Should they have given him another 10 minutes before stopping him? He appeared to be over powered and man-handled, I think they could have attempted a more relaxed approach which they obviously did with the 30+ fans on the stairs.
Simi Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Comment from Mac. Ridiculous, worthless gesture. Not big, not clever, means fook all. I'm embarrassed.
Daggers Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 *polishes medal* *awaits public apology from the Mac defenders* *stops waiting and goes to do something else*
fantastic_mr_fox Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 *polishes medal**awaits public apology from the Mac defenders* keep waiting Tarquin. *stops waiting and goes to do something else*
Daggers Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Bet you wish you'd read the full post before responding to it now, eh?
Sly Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Iain Hume at 5'7'' wins far more headers than Steve Howard at 6'4'' I mean, how sad is that? Imagine if Hume was 6'4"
Maybes Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Will we be seeing the Return of the Mac, anytime soon at the walkers?
Cat Burger Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 He (the fan) pays his money, he makes his choice but if he wants to demonstrate that way I suggest he walks around the pitch at the end of the game and we have a chat and a cup of coffee. from SkySports.I hate this.
Simi Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Imagine if Hume was 6'4" He'd probably get loads of stick because he didn't win every ball in the air and score with every headed chance he gets?
Maybes Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 He'd probably get loads of stick because he didn't win every ball in the air and score with every headed chance he gets? Correct. Steve Howard haters
Jordan Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Fans who yell "abuse" at Ollie during the game are "pillocks" and "turkeys," but Mac seems worthy of the same cup of coffee as Ugly Bird/1-0 win. Sounds like Ollie has a lot more respect for this fellow than many of the others.
Calum McDermott Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Iain Hume at 5'7'' wins far more headers than Steve Howard at 6'4'' I mean, how sad is that? Steve Howard is not 6'4". All this shite about howard not being able to win a header really does make me laugh.
Maybes Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Steve Howard is not 6'4". All this shite about howard not being able to win a header really does make me laugh. 6'3". He wins his fair share of headers but he needs crosses coming into the box. The problem yesterday was, the quality of crosses were piss poor.
