wurmer Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Just in-case anyone was wondering, he's looking at a fine up to £1000 + costs, and potentially a Football Banning Order. The geezer who did the same thing at Middlesborough got a £300 fine (+ costs) but didn't get a banning order - I dead hear something about the Middlesborough Chairman sending a letter to the Magistrates, but that might be bollocks... I can understand the sentiment, but it's gonna cost him.....
Isopen Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 On his Bentley's Roof site, Mac has made it clear today that though he feels his actions were foolish, his protest was aimed at Mandaric & not Ollie

A grand fine and a banning order, all to walk onto the pitch, looking like a bellend, and wave his ST at no one in particular. Congratulations. Was it worth it? Cawse it fackin was!
Chrysalis Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Yeah was awesome losing 3-0 and taking another step to league 1 Some fans think football is all about atmosphere and standing up. I rather Leicester won then taking my shoes off and singing songs about us winning the league.Grow up you moron. yeah it got me as well, whats so good about losing 3-0 forget atmosphere just want to win games.
hairy Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 On his Bentley's Roof site, Mac has made it clear today that though he feels his actions were foolish, his protest was aimed at Mandaric & not Ollie He really should of found out where Mandaric sits before doing it again. He was shouting at the wrong section completely.
Ric Flair Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 I can sympahise with this chap to be honest, i'm not saying what he did was right or clever, but I can sympathise with him. I've followed this club home and away for nearly 20 years and i've been bewildered by this club at times, but Saturday was rock bottom for me as a fan. People do stupid things when pushed and i'm sure this chap had had a few beers and with the situation this club is in and what has gone on in the past few years has culminated to this. I'm surprised there wasn't more people on the pitch to be honest, we're on the verge of the worst season of our existance. When people are faced with things like that, they do stupid things. I know the club can't be seen to be a soft touch, but I hope they take in to consideration how the fans are feeling right now. It's a shame it's come to this, but a life ban really isn't punishment. A home and away season ticket for life is though.
The People's Hero Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 I've heard the chap is Garry Parker's cousin - is there any truth in that? The other rumour I've heard is that he was put up to it by an aggressive consortium led by Mike Whitlow and Jimmy Willis' milkman.

Fox in a Box Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 I actually thought he was promoting the new LCFC ticket pricing for 2008-9. Maybe he could be used on the marketing bumpff for the renewals.... Hes got his have you got yours..
The People's Hero Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 I've got that jacket - so in some ways, yes.
Zingari Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 He really should of found out where Mandaric sits before doing it again. He was shouting at the wrong section completely. perhaps he was demonstrating how the club and the team had lost direction and it had now infected the fans
blueoveru Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 Probably saying HOW MANY MORE COCK-UPS MANDY BEFORE YOU GET IT RIGHT...........the mans a total turd when it comes to football should have had a exec who knows about the game...... then probably we would'nt be in the mess we're in now
Zingari Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 from the merc I REGRET PITCH PROTEST, SAYS LIFELONG CITY FAN 20 readers have commented on this story. Click here to read their views. BY NADEEM HANIF 10:30 - 17 April 2008 A lifelong Leicester City fan who invaded the pitch during a match to try to hand his season ticket back to club owner Milan Mandaric now says he regrets his actions. Robert McCoy, 46, was arrested during Saturday's game at the Walkers Stadium against Colchester United. Speaking to the Leicester Mercury for the first time about his protest, he said felt "embarrassed" by his actions. Mr McCoy, who has been going to games for 36 years runs a website called Bentley's Roof. He said: "It was a spur of the moment thing and wasn't something I had planned." He is now due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court charged with going on to the playing area at a football match under the Football Offences Act 1991. He has said he will be pleading guilty at the hearing on Tuesday, April 29. The Football Offences Act allows magistrates to impose a ban from grounds or a restriction order. Mr McCoy said that he had originally not planned to go to the game on the day and was in the club's memorial garden before the match. He said: "It was my brother's birthday on that day and he had died eight years ago. "It started to rain and I thought I might as well go into the stadium. "It was a really frustrating game and at the time I felt I needed to say or do something to show how upset I was. "I just walked on to the pitch. It wasn't a protest against Ian Holloway, but Milan Mandaric because I felt fed up with how the club has gone backwards in the last four years. "I felt embarrassed and regretted doing it almost immediately. "It's not something I ever contemplated doing when I went into the game. "I just love the club and I'm sad at how it's going." Rupert Mathias, a spokesman for Bentley's Roof, was sitting next to him during the game and described it as a "moment of madness". He said: "I can remember him saying he had enough and was going to do something. "I told him not to and we should just leave the match. "As I was making my way to the exit, he walked past the stewards and calmly strolled across the pitch to wave his season ticket. "I know he regretted it straightaway. It's just not something you would expect him to do." Mr Mathias said that Mr McCoy was a loyal fan who had also done a lot of fund-raising for the family of Bernard Murphy, an Everton fan killed when he was hit by flying debris as he walked to the Walkers Stadium for a game in March, 2004. A Leicester City spokesman said: "We are treating this matter very seriously, but whilst police investigations are on-going, we are unable to comment further at this time."
Kilworthfox Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 He's still going to get the book thrown at him. The excuses that he is giving now are poor, sounds like he is trying to make excuses to get people to feel sorry for him and get off. it also sound like the club will do what they did to Wambat.

Who's Wambat? Should I know? What did they do to him? Is he still alive?

Oh yeah pathetic, the bloke went out his way to raise some money for that Everton fan who died and had a moment of madness and know he should never step foot in the ground again. People who call this man anything are complete wankers. But remember keep waving your shoes and keep hiding from the truth

However he has broke the law and wont get treated lightly by the club.

I know and its a shame, Steve Gibson being the top bloke that he is didn't ban their fan and even gave him his season ticket back. Leicester should understand why he did it and ok a fine and that will be suited because like you said he broke the law but if they ban him for life our club is a joke. I swear that bloke who ran on against Villa only got a 3 year ban.

General lee Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 The one who started fighting with Ian Walker Wasn't really a fight, he ran on and Walker pushed him and he went down like he had just been through 12 rounds with Mike Tyson.
