Floating Fox Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 Yes. No probably not, another sign of double standards by the wonderful FA. Apparently its against the law and you will serve a banning order along with a nice fine for going onto the pitch unless your team win What about all those hooligans that ran on the pitch when Havant got through the FA cup? Whats the fecking difference between that and a bloke who spills out onto the pitch when Manu Score a late equaliser?
Legend_in_blue Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 Seriously though who is up for throwing your season tickets at the players at the end of the season? As well as the pitch invasion? And if they do a Lap Of Dis-honour that would be the perfect time, Along with the chant of "Duh Duh Duh Duh Fooking Useless". It sounds extremely tempting to me. If they go round and do a lap of honour - whether we stay up or not - I won't applaud them. Why should we? Oh congratulations, you kept us up, we're not going down, you are magnificent, I'll give you a clap and a cheer. No thanks. Take your £15000 p/w wage demands elsewhere and clear off.

Thing is their in a lose, lose situation if they do a lap of dis-honour they deserve all the abuse they get, If they don't do a lap of dis-honour they'll get slagged off (and rightly so) for just proving they don't give a fuk about us fans.

True. They'll end up being served with what they deserve.
Corky Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 For the "lap of honour", I think we should vote for who we believe deserves some sort of credit, let them walk round the pitch after the match, then either let the rest stay in the dressing room or bring them out and we can hurl abuse at them for this pathetic season. I wouldn't run on the pitch, even though we are God-awful, I wouldn't want a life ban from my club because I may miss the better times in the future. It isn't really worth it, to be honest.
Geo V Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 Ive done it in the past but it wasn't premeditated, simply being overjoyed that we stayed up after a win over Oxford back in the day. I`ll say lets see what happens and what we feel like as opposed to planning to run on the pitch in some planned event.

Sods Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 It wont be classed as a lap of honour. It will be classed as 'The players would like to show their appericiation to your support'. I will stay and probably give them a few claps and w*nker signs, i would like to see Milan come down as well and face the fans but it won't.
Corky Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 The problem with this "lap of honour" is all the palyers walk round together, so if you clap, it seems like you are clapping everyone. I would like to applaud Kisnorbo, McAuley, Hume, Mattock, Stearman and Hayles, because I feel they have done alright this season, shown commitment. The rest, sod 'em.

Thats why i started the thread and also to see who else would do it because i wouldnt want to run on thinking everyone else was behind me and they wernt
Simi Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 Thats why i started the thread and also to see who else would do it because i wouldnt want to run on thinking everyone else was behind me and they wernt Let's face it, nobody is going to run on the pitch. From 80 minutes onwards all the stewards will be down the front so you won't be able to get passed them. Not even if your with your mate who does all his dares.
Naboo Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 I'd definately run on the pitch, mainly because im an attention whore. Seriously though, the stewards couldn't do anything against 1,000+ fans swarming the pitch. Mayhem I tell thee, sheer mayhem.
Daggers Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 No! Let's face it - the only protest that counts is a Sexy protest. Everyone get nudey!
The Stig Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 No. If we got promoted though it would be a different story.
the beange Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 haha yeah non-vilent protesting Just like sheff united away when i looked up and seen 5 or 6 men topless, Although not gay was still funny to see. hopeing the shoes off chants get going at barnsley

That bloke got through on Saturday didn't he? If the stewards can't stop one man then they aren't going to stop a whole pitch invasion are they.
Vacamion Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 At Tannadice (Dundee Utd) a few years ago I went with a mate who saw fit to join a pitch invasion... Having vaulted the advertising hoarding his knee gave way and he just lay there in agony behind the goal until the paramedics came to help him. You have been warned. Wear sturdy shoes and perhaps warm up a little before trying to invade.

You would have thought the club would bring in extra security to prevent that from happening. But then again, after the Villa incident a few years ago, I thought someone invading the pitch wouldn't happen again.
Tilley Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 I would. BUT we wont be safe come the Sheff Wed game so this is a waste of a topic unless your asking if we would invade The Britannia
mikelcfc Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 at the end of the day the stewards arent exactly the scaryest of people.. one is about 80, lots of them are women and some are jst teenagers or are about 3 ft tall. they even admit themselves they wouldnt be able to do owt if ppl went on the pitch. one said they feared it would happen when we had 3 goals dissallowed. it wouldnt be that hard . i say go for it! if loads do it then they cant arrest anyone cause they cant arrest one person if theres many more doing the same. not allowed.
Daggers Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 From this day on - Stuart Gilligan Griffen is going to be a good boy,
Master Fox Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 No! Let's face it - the only protest that counts is a Sexy protest.Everyone get nudey! I’m too insecure about the size of my penis
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 If we stay up it has hardly been the great escape has it? Nothing to be proud about that is for sure. I'll just be very relieved, go home and try and forget this nightmare of season. Hope there is a new manager and a couple of new faces in place for next season. Agreed. I didn't invade the pitch when we got promoted to the Premier League and it's certainly not how I intend to celebrate staying in this shit division.
