General lee Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 He was pretty solid when he has played for us this season but hasn't played in ages now and i don't think he is carrying a injury. He should play the last 3 games, could be the new Tony James.
Corky Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Where's he going to play? Stearman has played well enough to justify his selection, Mattock and Clapham are both left-backs, so I can't see where he would fit in. Good player though, looks pretty solid.
General lee Posted 16 April 2008 Author Posted 16 April 2008 And play him where? Where they normally stick Bruno, playing him in front of the defence. He played in the middle this season and was pretty good. What harm could it do ? Stick with the players we've got and we go down .. Its that simple.
Thracian Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Playing for the Reserves tonight. Anyone know where that game is being played?

Koke Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 We already have enough players who can do the Bruno job i.e. Weso. So why stick Chambers in there just for the sake of it? He's a good solid player, but too bad for him Stearman got the right back position on lock down at the moment.
General lee Posted 16 April 2008 Author Posted 16 April 2008 No it's not! Were we doing better when other players were in the team? - Nothing's simple about LCFC. But with Chambers in the team, i don't think we were ever in the bottom 3. He's a battler and will run all day and that could be key at Barnsley because lets face it Oakley has been crap lately.

Weso looked out his depth when he played against S****hrope. Looked fooked after about half a hour and hasn't got the same work rate and pace that Chambers has got.

Looked fooked after about half a hour and hasn't got the same work rate and pace that Chambers has got. Don't agree. I thought he was a breath of fresh air against Scunny if i'm honest. Popped up all over the place, wanting the ball, winning the ball. I agree with the pace thing, but not with the work rate.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Playing for the Reserves tonight. Anyone know where that game is being played? Should be at home shouldn't it, not had a home reserve fixture in ages.
General lee Posted 16 April 2008 Author Posted 16 April 2008 Should be at home shouldn't it, not had a home reserve fixture in ages. Its away
Thracian Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Should be at home shouldn't it, not had a home reserve fixture in ages. Listed as at the Hawthorns on their OS.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Listed as at the Hawthorns on their OS. Going?
General lee Posted 16 April 2008 Author Posted 16 April 2008 Going? You know when you watch the reserves play away. Does anyone ever catch on that your a Leicester fan ? Like do you cheer if we score ?
Thracian Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Going? Maybe. At least we've got a reasonable team out. It's that or a game of golf. PS: Golf won but I'm back in good time to do both. Decisions, decisions. Finally opted against. Just couldn't muster the enthusiasm.
SamL Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 I think hed be the best option at left back. If you're going to play someone, play them in their preferred position. Chambers is nothing more than a back up at left back, he'll play there if we don't have any other choice. I like Chambers, he's a good solid player and I routed for him to be in the team when Stearman wasn't playing so well. As Stearman has bucked up his ideas, I'd keep him in the team with Chambers as back up. There's no point changing just for the sake of it.
Tommy G Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 He's a decent player, I can't see him being used to change our season around though at this late stage
Flynny Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Left-backs actually a good call if he decides Clapham's too slow but doesn't trust Mattock.
Tevez Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 James Chambers is very under rated, but you can't moan about Stearman's form in 2008.
Ric Flair Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 The few times that James Chambers has played at left back that i've seen both here and at Watford, he was a shadow of the player he is at right back. Which given he can't get in at right back, that would be worrying if he was required at left back.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 He was decent against Blackpool but got injured, then got messed about regarding his position (playing in midfield), and was subsequently forced out by Stearman who grabbed his chance with both hands. Things have been tough for him but I said I was disappointed with the signing and I can't say anything has changed my mind. Chambers should only play if Stearman is unavailable.
