Thracian Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Reserve team football is totally different to First team football.Answer this - If Beswick was so good, how come he has never been in the first team travelling squad? ============= And if Bori is so good how come he's done sod all of any note in either first team or reserves? Cos I for one am sick of all the supposedly wonderful imports who come here, get the odd game or two they've never earned, then disappear into the bakground while decent youngsters, who have shown their pedigree at City for years, get overlooked, pushed aside, made discontent or get bounced out on loan. No wonder our club's become a laughing stock.

Finchy Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Is Hendrie playing? He will be the key if we're gonna put up a fight on Sunday. It's his old club, and he thrives off boos, i can see him having a cracking game like at West Brom.

It's his old club, and he thrives off boos, i can see him having a cracking game like at West Brom. Hopefully he can play, we haven't heard otherwise yet. I can't see the Stoke fans booing him if I'm honest, he was only on loan there.
Fat Ron Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Hopefully he can play, we haven't heard otherwise yet. I can't see the Stoke fans booing him if I'm honest, he was only on loan there. Youe dont know your arse mate, they will slaughter him if they think it will help them gain promotion!!
Fat Ron Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Hammond to start along side Howard Go over on his ankle after 5 mins and we have to waste a sub, Ollie will bring on Fryatt and play him right back...
Darkzzz_ Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Hammond to start along side Howard Go over on his ankle after 5 mins and we have to waste a sub, Ollie will bring on Fryatt and play him right back... Howard and Elvis.... I am dreaming of that!!! It makes me want to touch myself !!! Howard with his successfull flick on and bang... Elvis saves the day.... and gets us out of "jail- house-rock" Ok Ok.... That was poor!!
Dames Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Henderson Chambers Stearman McAuley Mattock Bell Wesolowski Hendrie Zolt Hume Campbell Subs: Alnwick, N'gotty, Bori, Hayles and Hammond (He always causes stoke problems when he plays against them /thracian) This team has pace, fight and balance. I'm hoping something similar to this is put out on sunday
Milans Foxes Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Henderson Stearman N'Gotty Mcauley Mattock Bell King Wesolowski Hendrie Hume Hayles Subs: Oakley Sappleton Hammond J Chambers A Chambers
Tilley Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Henderson Stearman N'Gotty McAuley Clapham Bell Weso Oakley Hendrie Hume Howard. That Will Be Ollie's Team
Dames Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 HendersonStearman N'Gotty McAuley Clapham Hume Oakley Hendrie Hayles Fryatt Howard. That Will Be Ollie's Team I think thats more realistic.
dexter97 Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Hopefully he can play, we haven't heard otherwise yet. I can't see the Stoke fans booing him if I'm honest, he was only on loan there. Think you might have misjudged that one. He chose a bigger pay packet over Stoke ("Who wouldn't?" I hear you ask, but you know what fans are like when it comes to loyalty), and TBH many never warmed to him due to his "antics". And just in case any of you were interested , Stoke's 16 for Sunday will probably be: Nash Riggott - Cort - Shawcross - Dickinson Lawrence - Delap - Whelan - Cresswell Sidebe - Fuller Simonsen Wilkinson Pugh Pearson Ameobi
kyleolly Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Stoke absolutely hate Hendrie they wanted to sign him after his loan spell and he went elsewere for more money according to them probably cuz he hated the shit hole though
Finchy Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Stoke absolutely hate Hendrie they wanted to sign him after his loan spell and he went elsewere for more money according to them probably cuz he hated the shit hole though The more boos the better! COME ON HENDRIE SON!!!!!
kyleolly Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Take it you want wednesday down jb 101 would you sacrifice a play off place to see it happen?
Koke Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Take it you want wednesday down jb 101 would you sacrifice a play off place to see it happen? He's one of us We all Sheffield United fans for the next 4 days, as our future lies firmly in their hands.

Someone need to take him out of the game in the first 5 minutes.
kyleolly Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Our futures in our own hands how sad we have to rely on other teams to do us a favour
Koke Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Our futures in our own hands how sad we have to rely on other teams to do us a favour That is what it has come to unfortunately. If we stay up, it'll be by default as the Blades may win against Saints.
johnnycash Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Henderson Chambers (RB) - Need his pace and professionalism Stearman (cb)- We will sit too deep with N'Gotty and get battered. Move Stears into the middle McAuley Mattock Bell (RM) Wesolowski King - Oakley has been bland beyond belief! This kid can attack and will give us some aeriel ability in a game where the ball will spend a lot of time in the air!! Hendrie (LM) Hume Howard - yes he's been disappointing, but has a good track record in this division. If he doesn't come off we should take a gamble with young Ricky who has improved massivelky in the last coule of months and has the confidemce from scoring goals! Subs: Alnwick, N'gotty, Campbell, Sappleton, Oakley
Finchy Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Take it you want wednesday down jb 101 would you sacrifice a play off place to see it happen? what Karim Benzema said.
Thracian Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 I've never claimed Bori was a world beater or in fact should be playing. But still, nice of you to avoid the question that i asked. Why would I be able to explain what is in Holloway's mind. Either about Beswick or a dozen other things I don't understand. I do know that as a result of using his skills and better judgement he's allowed our team to slip four places down the league and deep into relegation trouble so if I knew what was in his mind it probably wouldn't make sense to me anyway. So if you want an honest answer ask Holloway. But if you're suggesting that because he's not been picked people like Laczko or Hayles or Hume or Mattock make better attacking left midfielders then I disagree. And so would a good many people who take the trouble to watch them fairly regularly. Leicester clearly didn't think it would matter much losing Gradel for the season and Holloway thought he could do without Shush!. I said we would regret losing the goals they'd be involved with and that has proved the case beyond any doubt in my mind whatsoever. I could quote other examples too but, bottom line, I'd far sooner back my own judgement than Holloway's thanks. Especially when looking at Leicester's position in the League.
