poynton blue Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FUcSh6B2xF4 The greatest goal from the premierships greatest player
Jordan Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 That Maradona '86 goal is the most overrated thing in sports. There have been a bunch of similar goals--some better--ut that one only gets all of the hype because of who were involved in the play. . Dalian Atkinson.
MikeyT Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 The goal Giggs scored all those years ago against Arsenal, back in his floppy, curly haired days! I remember a fantastic Bergkamp goal against Newcastle maybe 5 or 6 years ago as well that has to be up there!
Jay Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Van Basten George Weah Brazil 1970 the brilliant and breathtaking arsenal in full flight
sdb Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Elvis Hammond v Stoke at the Brittania, 4.5.2008 never has a goal been scored off someones bum from 50 yards
morris1234 Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 the last one in this video should be up there, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4NHU4ibLiTA
Corky Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Le Tissier's goal for Southampton versus Newcastle was special, and also being a bit biased, Muzzy's overhead kick against Grimsby was phenomenal. The distance, technique, everything
Durnerz Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Beckham vs Wimbledon Cantona vs Sunderland Roberto Carlos vs France in la tournoi - I remember us as kids trying to re-create that the morning after on the field at school, the ball ended up here there and everywhere. Di Canio vs Wimbledon.
WetFlannel Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Cantona vs Sunderland I fail to see why this goal is so special
sdb Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 I fail to see why this goal is so special i've always thought it's pretty overrated too ian wright scored a similar but better version v leeds around that time
Durnerz Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 I fail to see why this goal is so special Special goal from a special player
Father Ted Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 It has to be the sheer power of a bar-cracking Yeboah shot, or what about a Di Canio half-volley, or Beckham against Wimbledon. Wait, hold on, they were all scored past Neil Sullivan
Uncle Albert Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Hummmm... Cantona against Sunderland or Zidane v Leverkusen.
WetFlannel Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Can someone just please clarify what makes this Cantona goal against Sunderland so good? I think I'm missing something...

Yeah, I actually think Oktay's goal is better than Maradona's. Me personally, Bergkamp vs Newcastle is the best ever. He only needed 2 touches to get past his man + put it in the back of the net.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Yeah, I actually think Oktay's goal is better than Maradona's.Me personally, Bergkamp vs Newcastle is the best ever. I thought Bergkamp against us was better Also Henry versus Man United cant remember what year but that one was incredible Also that Rooney one against Newcastle was just amazing, you can hear him actually boot the ball
Chimp Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Also that Rooney one against Newcastle was just amazing, you can hear him actually boot the ball I think the best part about that goal was that seconds before he was having a go at the ref, hardly taking any notice of the game, he turns round, sees the ball coming toward him and lamps it one in anger.... sublime.
