Daggers Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 He is going to go i think Those are not Milans words This is ridiculous - have neither of you read the Aldridge or the Mandaric press releases today? Both of which I have quoted in this damn thread. Anyway, I can't be bothered to tell you that 'blue is not white' anymore. Believe the sky is falling if you want. Simply ridiculous.
teblin Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Yes, granted but read what I said, Milan is not gonna say anythin different. By him suggesting he may take a back seat is he jus trying to let us down gently.... "I am not going to leave the club," I know we've heard alot of things come out of the club, but you have to hope that is what will happen. Milan is staying by the looks of it, so lets back him and the manager who ever it will be and get out of league one as soon as possible.
Daggers Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 quote Aha - but by saying "I am not off" it is clearly obvious to anyone who is not the full breakfast that he really means "I am off"

If it annoys u that much dont post. Teblin got the gist of what I was suggesting FFS...

Ric Flair Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Milan has been known to tell the odd fib in the past though. I don't think he will be off, but just because he's told us he's not leaving, doesn't guarantee he won't be. I wish he was a man of his word, then Ian Holloway wouldn't have been appointed.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 So did I - it was laughable. So, is he leaving or not?
Zingari Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 If it annoys u that much dont post. Teblin got the gist of what I was suggesting FFS... yes so did i , there has been so much misinformation about the club that you cannot really be sure of anything, and an article in the telegraph more or less implied that milan was only staying now because a deal he had struck had now fallen through if this is the case then he has lied at some stage, because originally, he flatly denied ever trying to sell but denials about this are conspicuous by their absence , and i am sure he would be at least be threatening legal action if they were without foundation

I don't think he will be off, but just because he's told us he's not leaving, doesn't guarantee he won't be. Granted - but to be running around like Chicken Licken is idiotic - it's the Citeh supporters' disease: when there's nothing to moan about invent something to get panicky over. The man has said he's staying and rebuilding us, his mate has said the same...so how about we all just look to the future with a bit of positivity for once? I'm pig sick of the negative crap people come out with, why they bother with the club is beyond me - moaning to their neighbour about DIY would suit them far better. Plus, to put on a Chandler hat here, certain people have an agenda now with regards their shares so it is in their interests to kick up a little bit of anti-Mandaric feeling or sow seeds of doubt over his future. As I said at the time, no one connected with the club previously or at the time of the take-over would stump up funding for us - Mandaric has (in whatever way it has been achieved) and promises to continue. This non-issue of his staying is dead - let's all move on and support the old bugger.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 More to the point... why would he lie about leaving (which he's not - I hasten to point out ). What could he possibly stand to gain from it?

Obviously some people like to believe everything they read/hear....
Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I can't believe he's leaving us. *Smacks blue-bro around the face several times with wet City scarf until he sees sense*

You CAN'T be quoted and lie... a world of financial pain lies that way and Mandy knows that better than most!

Lied under oath about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky and subsequently, in 1998, became the second president in U.S. history (the first was Andrew Johnson) to be impeached by the House of Representatives. Richard Nixon: The 37th President of the United States. After it came to light that he had been involved in illegal activities, including wiretapping and harassment of political opponents in the Watergate scandal, Nixon lied and tried to cover up the misdeeds. The truth eventually came to light and he resigned before he could be impeached.

OriginalRobboFOX Posted 6 May 2008 Author Posted 6 May 2008 Unlees you missed it, MM is NOT the leader of the most powerful country in the world Ok I will concede that point... But dont be so naive... People lie every day, its a fact, people will say things from time to time and then back track. So dont be so confident that because MM has said one thing he is not gonna do another... Maybe I'm just insecure but after the last few years at our club can anyone blame me??
