Has LCFC actually confirmed that they'll never put the kop near the away stand?

I think a starting point for next season is to get that sorted. The atmosphere isn't the greatest ever at the Walkers, (although you guys in the Kop and several areas of the stadium try your hardest) but if we got it moved then I think we're onto a winner. The players need support and if they've got an awesome sound coming from the kop as they drown out the away fans then I know they'd put in more effort.

We should email them, 1000 times each to get it sorted.

This has to be the most important issue at the club at this exact moment in time. Sorting this will surely solve the problems we've had on the pitch for the last 4 years.

Actually, that would be a good invention ;)

(but only if it can pick up the really subtle stuff that sometimes eludes people)

didnt tim davies say that it would be tried against a lower league opposition??

does this mean its being tried for a whole season??

I think it would help the atmosphere a lot but I can't see it happening in the near future. Having said that, I'm not actually sure how much pressure has been put on the club to change the kop around already so I'm not really sure what it would take to get it done. It's certainly something that I think most fans would be in favour of though

I don't know if he said that but now would be a very good time to test it out. I can't see many teams bringing a lot of fans to the Walkers so I doubt there will be a lot of trouble.

Still can't see it happening though.

This has all been discussed before, too much in my opinion.

Given the way that Pen One used to exchange small change with the away fans at Filbert Street, I doubt it would happen. The execs were sick of the FA fines by the time we moved out and were dying for an excuse to move things around. Also, season tickets will have already been sold for the seats in the blocks next to the Kop end already, so they couldn't uproot them now. For the amount of away fans that will come in League one, we could stick them all in the Fusions bar.

Simple solution... if the club won't move the kop, the the kop needs to move! Everyone who's in the kop should just move over to the areas nearest the away fans and make the most of it. L1 and around there and even maybe take over the Family Stand... after a while, the family bunch would move over to the kop side and in effect, the change will have been made! :D

Bring on those poxy League One teams!!! If we are coming at them from both sides, they won't be making much noise! lol

If we had used the N block to its full advantage i think it would have been changed. However people don't like change :(

To be fair I think that we will be one of the biggest games in the season and there should be quite alot of away support. Also even if Leeds stay down, were easier to get to for most teams so I think teams will bring a pretty reasonable away following to the Walkers.

If they don't sell enough ST they could well close parts of the ground, it's not an unknown approach to saving money.

I can actually see some of them bringing a fair few fans as for some of them it will be like the biggest game in the league/ even some of their clubs history.

I can't see it myself. They won't close the kop or the family club, the east stand is too big and the west stand is where all the corporates sit. The only possible area they'll shut is N block and that's hardly massive.

Indeed.

For Peterborough and Northampton in particular, it will be like a cup final. Both of them could easily fill the away section.

Even the people that are moaning would probably not all move as it would mean doing something pro-active.
