And you forgot me
And me, I went through the harrowing ordeal of a name change in order to express my love for those crazy cousins of ours.

Sorry folks :(

But Nihat, you're just a Nihat fan :P

Ermmm...

Ahem?

As much as I like Rosicky, he was/is no where near as good as Poborsky at his best. When he's won a Champions League medal, maybe I'll consider him.

And tonight proved why. Great opportunitism and a clinical finish for the final goal. Wouldn't surprise me if he's in the Premier League before too long.

P.S - Much better than Semih. (i was going to crack a joke about you having a Semih on but thought it'd be in poor taste.)

Well I thought he was poor tonight aside from the last 5 minutes.

Not been impressed with him in any of the games.

Arda however... If only he wasn't a Galatasary player he'd be brilliant.

Well I know that!

I was referring to your internet persona.

Hopefully you caught my drift.

As for Turkey, I count on Croatia to end that "Comeback Kid" story. :fc:

Decent game which was spoiled at the end by Volkan although Koller did go over like a bit of a drama queen.

As soon as Turkey got the first I had a feeling that they'd go onto get a second. I actually wanted the game to go to penalties. :giggle:

Nihat was poor. He took his 2nd goal well but the first was just a simple poke. He was rarely in the game until the last 5 minutes and his set pieces were poor.

I've been very impressed by Arda in this tournament.

Disagree.

Euro 96 had Poborsky, Nedved, Beger et al all at arguably their best. And no one in the Euro 2004 squad was as talented as Poborsky at his best, apart from maybe Nedved, who the Czechs have severely missed.

Euro 2004 had the Czech Rep written all over it. Their defeat against Greece was one of the most unjust games I've ever witnessed. They were far more fluent and a far more complete outfit than Euro 96. Poborsky had a wonderful tournament then (THAT goal against Portugal), but they were nowhere near as dazzling as eight years later..

Maybe he's not been at his best but a world class striker still puts away chances that come his way, and that's exactly what he did.

Well said. I thought he was pretty good last night.

Fancy them doing Croatia aswell.

Nihats winning goal was ace!

Never heard of the fcuker before :giggle: but defo is Turks main man!!!

Turkey won't beat Croatia.

I bloody hope they won't! The Turks have played 20 minutes worth of football in this tournament and have had a huge slice of luck already. Credit to them for fighting to the end, but they should have been punished for not bothering to play for 70 minutes...
