LASAGNEBOY

Worst managerial appointment of recent history?

Recommended Posts

I think Lasgneboy highlights one of the major and I mean MAJOR problems at this club.

The negativity of some blinkered ****wits that 'follow' (not support) Leicester is amazing. Open your minds for Christ's sake!

I really wonder if other clubs are the same? I suspect they are.

Other clubs maybe the same Daggers, but we are Leicester City, and articles like this do no favours at all to anyone.

Can remember a time in the past when fans were calling for the head of a certain Martin O'Neil!!!

Stop the moaning get behind the guy and the team. If we win our first six matches he will be the new messiah! if we lose them then moan about him.

What article?

Are you on about this thread? It was started by a ****nut spouting premature, negative crap - he joined all the other arseholes on block and all is right with the world :scarf:

Now - let's get this Pearson party started! :celebrate:

Thought things couldn't really get any worse, but they just have.

I cannot understand this appointment at all. He has no experience apart from almost getting Saints relegated. There was not a single fan asking for him to become manager and he's never achieved anything as a manager.

Mandaric oviously has his heart set on not getting us back into the chamionship and maybe letting us fall even further. I'm now expecting all our good players to go just so MM can cash in and get a bit more money for himself.

Was 100% sure before this we would be going back up. Now am about 90% sure we won't :(

What had made you 100% sure we'd be going back up?

the people that are critical of this appointment assume that we should be appointment some of the stature of whom?

the past 12 months has shown that no matter how much the majority of fans liked a manager (allen),and despite a manager desperate for job showed no loyalty whatsoever (megson) and no matter how much 'experience' they have (holloway) counted for nothing. so i am willing to give someone the chance to prove themselves 1st before making rash judgements about their so called lack of experience etc.

the reality is simon grayson manages a club that are in a higher division

the reality is billy davies expressed interest in the hearts job and therefore challenging the old firm and european football

the reality is sam allardyce or steve mclaren would, never, ever, ever, ever set foot in the walkers as leicester manager whilst we are outside the premiership

the reality is paul ince would be out of his mind to turn blackburn down for us and the mk dons chairman mad to allow him

to speak to one of the teams in their division.

the reality is gregory, worthington, pearson etc were the candidates because we are , first and foremost, a league one club regardless of supposed 'stature'.

i hope pearson will be more like megson(pre-shameless walkout), straight talking and to the point rather than manic shite like allen and holloway.

then everyone will know where they stand

While this could prove true he WILL be opperating at a lower level with currently the best playing squad in the division.

:giggle:

Lower level or not... we're in a huge mess right now and we need sorting out. We could be in any division right now, it wouldn't matter... we need sorting out and putting back on track. If Pearson can manage to get us going in the right direction, he'll be a relative success. If he can get us out of this division at the first attempt, he'll be a success.

I don't agree with the best playing squad comment, either... sure we've just come from the Championship, but there's a reason for that - our squad/management wasn't up to the standard required. If we weren't good enough to stay in the division above this one, how can we say we have the best squad for this division yet? Besides... it may, on paper, be the 'best' right now... but give it until the end of July and see how it's looking then. Today it's irrelevant. Mid-August it's much more important.

Having very nearly sent Southampton down last year I really cant see this being a good move.

He is clearly the only yes man who wanted to work here.

Get ready for more signings (if any) of random players ala Ferrera, Kaebi etc as Pearson will just be happy being employed.

The guy has NO credentials, NO affinity to the club, NO clue, NO personality but he may just say YES at every suggestion form upstairs.

Regardless of what he achieves, at this point in time he is the worst appointment in our history.

I expect to hear the usaul "as soon as i found out Leicester were interested" spiel.

anybody but him would of been better......

If you guessed I'm not at all convinced by this

Still thinking that are we?

Didn't take him long to realise what a monumental arse he looked.

Even if Pearson achieves nothing else for us he's already proved to be miles better than many a previous manager

At the risk of being told to fu(k off or being called a fu(kwit I have to agree with the starter of this thread. I supported Kelly when everybody wanted him sacked, I supported Allen, Megson and I wanted to keep Holloway.

I'll always support the club and I've never booed the team in my life but don't tell me I have to be enthusiastic about the appointment of a nobody who hasn't succeeded anywhere.

On reflection I've decided to give him a chance.

i predict NP to be an excellent choice as manager , we will get promoted and we will finish as champions

see :)

Exactly, he wasn't my first choice, not even in my top four, but he's got the job, he's manager of my football club so he will get my full support for the season ahead.

I really hope you prove the doubters wrong Nige :scarf:

And you certainly did :scarf:
