Some stuff i've managed to dig up:

Did you know ...

Using leading-edge thinking from our world class production facility in the Sunderland we are making a real difference to the efficiency of the workshops at our dealer partners. We have reduced the number of footsteps a technician takes from 900 to 300!

Having celebrated our 20th year in 2004, Nissan has the largest UK presence of any car manufacturer, accounting for 20% of total UK production.

Since 1986 our Sunderland plant has produced more than 4 million vehicles. It's little wonder that we have been ranked the most productive car plant in Europe for seven years running. As you can see, we don't believe in standing still.

From the Nissan OS

  • Nissan Employs 186,336 Members of staff
  • First President, Yoshisuke Aikawa in 1939
  • Nissan, is 44% owned by Renault

From Various sites

Hope that'll impress them lol

PM your email address (I've forgotten it and I can't check it on MSN at work). I'll send you a SWOT analysis of the company which should help.

It includes a company overview, key facts, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

I love you.

It's from November 2007, the company that does them updates it every year. I'm leaving work now, so if you need anything else don't bother replying to my work address!

Why don't you try asking the internet? It's right there.

That's so unfair - here you go LFF, all the info you'll ever need:

Nissan started as a manufacturer of sheds back in 1912, the old Nissan hut was used throughout the second world war as a makeshift bomb shelter and a place to raise rabbits (as a substitute for the non-existent supplies of meat due to rationing). Throughout the war they were most notable for making razor wire, bamboo instruments of torture, a portable 78RPM disk player (a forerunner to the Walkman but was found to cause many injuries to a person if they ran while wearing it) and oranges...a fruit that has now been popularised throughout the world due to Nissan relinquishing their copyright.

Nissan led the world in diversification shortly after the end of WW2 and made great strides to distance themselves from their Japanese heritage. Firstly, they moved Chad before relocating to Chipping Sodbury and becoming the market leader in teddy bear apparel. Nissan was the envy of Paris when they walked away with all of the plaudits for their 'metallic' inspired designs during Fashion Week in 1958.

Truly, Nissan came of age as a company of the people when they began marketing health drinks during the 1960's and are widely held to be the company who invented the hash cookie (much beloved by men with long hair who don't work). In 1974 they set up their fist car division at the same time as they launched a bean bag division - oddly, bright orange was the popular colour for both bean bags and cars in 1975.

The United Nations petitioned for Nissan to be prosecuted in 1989 after a sub-division invented internet porn by mistake while investigating the transmission of athlete's foot. Popular rumour has it that the internet porn was thrown away almost immediately but came to light in a refuse tip outside Stevenage and has blighted the world ever since. Managers at Nissan now have to pay 34% of their monthly salary in reparations for the full duration of their contract.

There you go LFF - plenty for you to talk about during your interview

Tea maid.

I hope to **** that it doesn't have any responsibility for searching on the internet or we'll all be occupied for the next 12 months.

My question is this... why would u want to go for a job that you have no interest in? I could understand it if it was a dossy little job down the road to make a few extra quid for a short while, but Nissan?

Edit: forget that - just realised you're in Herts now... so it IS a dossy little job just down the road :P (aren't they based in Swindon... or is that Honda?)

I have to agree - I'd much rather drive whatever car that is than have sex with men.

Raj on the other hand...
