Just got in.

Collingwoods wicket looked very poor, body shape and shotplay.

Why we are playing him? God knows. Another shocking decison which I cant understand. Leave him out fair enough, but whats the freeking point in bringing him back so early.

He got dropped for only one test, went away and scored a few runs for his county but didn't do anything outstanding. I think if we were going to go in with 4 bowlers, Owais Shah should have been given a chance if not I would've stuck with Stuart Broad.

I feel they were right to drop Broad for this one, as well as he has played, he simply hasn't got the wickets and it's affected him a little. He's best off going back to his county (Notts) for a bit and hopefully doing well there.

I agree about Shah.

Having said that - if the selectors wanted to bring some experience in, I can't believe Hoggard and Harmison aren't there.

whoever we pick will struggle to bowl them out- their batters are streets ahead even without Kallis who is way out of form but Harmison bowling well might give them the hurry up. Broad will be a good cricketer in the future but is looking a bit of a samey bowler in the Caddick mould at present although his batting has been useful. Panesar has not pushed on as he should have and lacks the weapon of unexpected variation or useful bounce

What I find totally depressing is how easily the English batting has capitulated on good wickets to such an average attack. There are better bowlers in club cricket than Harris the length of the country and Ntini is (and in my opinion always was) below the standard of international cricket . The others are OK but went all round the park in the first test- what's changed?

Very depressing and in the light of the selection fiasco in the last test it might be time ahead of the ashes to shake the team and management set up out of its collective torpour by a few sackings

Ambrose has gone.

We could do with someone sticking around with Flintoff for a bit and maybe get us up to around 270.

Bit of Freddie magic there

Nearly took Ntini's head off

He's starting to let loose a little, which is always good to see when batting with the tail. We need as many runs as we can get.

Now we'll see how its done.

I liked how Freddie stormed off at the end. Monty should never have attempted the second.

well atleast monty scored more than vaughan

Monty Panesar :worship:

And that makes it alright to be run out like that?

No it doesn't. As I said before, on both occasions we should never have been attempting the run.

The " :frusty: " was aimed at our batsman, not you mate. ;)

 thats clears things up then.

:crylaugh: You've got to try and laugh at those run outs

It was comical.

We'll need a miracle to get something out of this test.

 I didn't know what you meant at first but then I realised you could have thought it was aimed at you.
