"Go on then Pete, top me up" Key, Shah and Bopara should all have been called up before Collingwood, and I can see them all being in the team before long at this rate. After being dropped as a batsman Colly's done nothing to make himself look worthy of being selected since but has been anyway. It's ridiculous. Key's twice the batsman he was when we last used him, Shah has been messed around ridiculously and is a classy batsman, and Bopara has huge potential.

The contracted players become a self-interested club and the management have to justify awarding the contract and so keep picking them. They would have to pay additionally to call up an uncontracted player. To be honest if we are playing as shite as this we might as well revert to the old system since however they are spending their time whilst not on county duty it certainly isn't practising their cricket

Cometh the hour, and that's Flintoff's 200th Test wicket..............if you inlcude that farce of a rest of the world match against Australia a couple of years back..
