Fair do. I'm good with the text. League 1 tour is good, we can overwrite it with a 2 for the 09/10 season.

Love the top one Fez.

How much more is it to get a badge?

What about for the away flag:

Leicester City Football Club

We're new here be gentle with us

:crylaugh: Brilliant.

The badge is very pricey. They didn't give me a breakdown of how the price was worked out but we'd be looking at an extra £100 or so for the badge on the second flag as well which would put us up near £700. :o It would be easy for the price to spiral completely out of control so am looking to rein it in a bit.

As long as people are happy with the big flag then we can concentrate on the second one. Like I've said, the lettering and colours are standard so we can't do anything with them. The main thing is to get the text right.

Like the big flag lots. :D

Less sure about the smaller one and do have some reservations about the 'League 1 Tour'.

I like the wording on the design 'A Fox for Life' has done. I think adding the .co.uk makes it more obvious what Foxestalk is and will help with promoting the forum and I like the 'on tour' reference. Oh, and I would definitely lose the dots in the L.C.F.C on this flag. Possibly in the F.C. of the larger flag too, although that looks less cumbersome.

I understand, maybe do a poll of the most popular suggestions?

FEZ: have you looked at other flag company's ? is this one the best one?

A FOX FOR LIFE  : Yeah I've looked at a few, these are the best. They supply most of the flags you see around the country, including most of the ones you see at the Stretford End at Old Trafford. I decided pretty early on to go with them and I've been talking to the two guys that run the company on a regular basis about what we can afford and what they can do etc.

Although it is pricey, the fact that we've got lots of contributions means that the cost isn't that important. If someone puts in a tenner it doesn't really make any odds to them how much the overall cost is. The main thing is for it to look professional and high quality and these people are the experts.

Love the first 1.

With the 2nd one i think we need the web address foxestalk.co.uk, as when people just see foxestalk they will probably think wtf is that and not realise its a fans forum etc, plus it gives the site a bit of a plug n all that.

Also some reservations about "league 1 tour". The amount of time and effort you have gone into organising it, surely you dont want to run the risk of only being able to use it for 1 season. Maybe something like "blue and white army" or something similar to the above design by a fox for life.

I like the home flag proposal a lot. However, I'm not so sure about the LCFC crest thingy, as it looks a bit outdated (and you never know when the club's going to change for something completely different).

As for the away flag, keep it simple. Too many letters - would it be visible the way you have it in mind or doesn't it look a bit too crowded on there?

Disagree - the old crest is a classic.

That badge has been used for four reasons really;

  • They embroider them on so I think it's sensible to have something simple so that it doesn't end up looking like a dog or something
Cost - the flashier the design, the higher the cost
They already have that design that they've done for someone else before so it makes things easier and should already be perfect
That badge is popular with a lot of fans who miss Filbo. We don't get much from the club and you never see that badge anymore other than on the odd retro kit. The current badge is everywhere within the stadium but you don't see that one as much.

The away flag, the design I sent off to them was less crowded than that as the lettering was smaller. It may be that I ask them for another mockup with smaller letters and/or we have less text on it.

The feedback at the moment is against that flag so we will have to rethink it.

The 3 legged fox is legendary, the current badge isn't and if, as you say, the club change the badge again it's going to look gash. I remember Fez saying he couldn't get permission or it was too expensive or something to use the current badge anyway.

Oh crap, I agreed with Jim again didn't I. Swan Lesta til I die :D

Edit: Fez has just explained it all

With the crest make sure they have a vector graphic of the logo. Whether it's from the club or another source, if they attempt to use some shitty jpg of the internet people will end up disappointed with the result.

Okay mate cheers. Will double check that. On the website there are some examples of flags they've done for other people and the badges and crests on there look top notch - http://www.barmyflags.co.uk/gallery.php
