Free Falling Foxes Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 WOW!!!I wish i shared maddogs enthusiasm and optimism. I am neither enthusiastic or Optimistic. In fact the season is starting far too early for me. Even the thought of promotion BACK to the Championship doesn't fill me with too much cause for an all out celebration!!! Boy am i a miserable cvnt at the moment!!! I'm the same. Usually the closer the season gets the more excited I become. The opposite is true this year. The more I look at the fixture list the less I'm becoming interested.

Not a miserable twat then an ambivalent one!
Daggers Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 I'd like to be excited but I'm missing the start of the season - it's all about the Tranmere (unless we've had a totally crap three games in which case it'll all be about the beer(again))
ibbosuk Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 I'm looking forward to it because it will get me out the house Thats co's nobody likes you.....
Webbo Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Thats co's nobody likes you..... Ironic, coming from you.
Corky Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 I am cautiously optimistic, excitement mixed with trepidation at the moment. But, come the 9th, I'll be bouncing
Ultra Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 Having someone like Gradel, who looks inspired rather than intimidated by big crowds, might make a difference this time around. The awaydays, where we'll visit several venues for the first and hopefully only time, also possess a certain amount of intrigue.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 Thats co's nobody likes you..... Ironic, coming from you. He's right though. I wouldn't have it any other way
Webbo Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 He's right though. I wouldn't have it any other way I like your Bellend.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 I like your Bellend. You're a beautiful human being
Daggers Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 You're a beautiful human being I'm a nobody - that must mean I like you too.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 None of you like me more than I like Ibbosuk, and I like him A LOT. ANYWAY I'm well up for Satdee - I miss the whole pub/walk to ground/game/walk to pub/pub routine. And in traditional irrational close season optimism mode, I have a feeling that I will enjoy going to the Walkers more this season. I'm not confident we'll be brilliant, but I think there will be a lot more excitement and entertainment to be had, and the matchday experience won't be akin to being force-fed your own turds which it has been for TOO LONG
Daggers Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 ...and the matchday experience won't be akin to being force-fed your own turds which it has been for TOO LONG Stop smoking weed then Either you've never had a puff Ash or you need to change dealers

Basingstoke Fox Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 Here we go again, Im feeling the usual excitement before... Ill stop there .
Lovejoy Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 I always get especially excited before a new season. Not so much in hope, but having gone 3 months without the Citeh.
20mj08 Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 there is always a sence of excitement before the season opener, nothing beats the feeling of football being back and for the next 8 months weekends get spent watching the city, i for one live for match days good or bad times i still do
Corky Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 I'm looking forward to tomorrow. A good win and performance will lay down a marker and show the rest of the division we mean business.
