Tabou Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 A regular ST for L1 for instance is slightly more than £16 per home game - not a bad deal.Students in L1 get away with £11. The Kop is like £15/£10 respectively. If you're complaining about prices, do it someplace else. Will I get an L1 one off ticket at the under 22's/student price? DO I just have to prove im under 22? Does it matter im in full time employment. Damn this 'one-off-ticket- lark. Both. Good old boy.

No. Season ticket holders only. You may buy a ticket in K1 and wave at the statuesque pictures of manhood standing in L1. You have to prove you are a student using a current student card, or proof of age for age-related ticket.

Actually you can purchase in L1 using the online ticket system so i would hazard a guess that you can do so at the ticket office, unless that is the loop hole. Based on the online ticket system on the website, many areas are filling up nicely so it will be no surprise that a big crowd is anticipated.

Do you have a link? I will love you long time. EDIT - L1 has seats in block C. Is this rough? I am a nice boy.

And I'm just fine with you being a pal of mine - nothing more, nothing less.

I was refused a ticket for L1 by the ticket office last season despite having a season ticket for F1. In the end I just walked in and flashed the outside of my season ticket book. Maybe it's all changed - maybe I tore down those walls of oppression. Hasta la victoria siempre!

Last home game of last season(sheff W) the club were selling L1 single tickets to anyone who needed them. Perhaps it will be the norm now to make L1 a mix of ST holders and NON. s'pose we'll find out on Sat when NON ST holders are refused entry!!!
Alexikokopops Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 A bit like our Blue Army on the march last season?900 to Scunthopre. I'm not saying that isn't gash, but there are a number of differences: i) That was an evening kickoff on TV ii) Scunthorpe aren't a few junctions down the M1 iii) Lincolnshire is an impossible place to get to iv) That wasn't the first game of teh season Agree. If I didn't have the uncertainty of my working weekends for the next year, then I would buy one. Im having to make do with £23 per game. Starting on Saturday. Never having purchased a ticket before in my life (due to my ST)....can you buy online? On the phone?? The best way I found for ordering tickets was to email the ticket office saying "I'm interested in buying a ticket, could you give me a call on this number" and I'd get called back within the next hour and it would save me sitting on hold for ages and spending a lorra lorra money. Edit: That was for away tickets, ignore my advice and just do it online, it's well easy.
DB11 Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 More tickets because it is their first game, first game with new manager, first game in new league? Nah I think it´s cos it´s against Leicester!

Cheers, But I still need to know where to avoid. I don't want to be sitting next to somebody who has more tatoos than teeth.

Tabou Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Don't go to the Ricoh I went to the Ricoh a couple of seasons ago for the 0-0. Worst atmosphere EVER.

Tabou Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 SK1 is a steady away place I've decided im well 'ard anyway. Booking a ticket now.
Floating Fox Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 My season ticket means I pay substantially less than £23 - everyone concerned about the price of games should have one.£13 per game is bloody cheap. Don't get me wrong, I think that ST's are good value for money, although the £13 is for the seats in the "Just the ticket" area, so that is a little mis-leading, as I'd rather eat £13 every fortnight that sit there. Didn't get one myself because hopefully i'll be at uni. £23 is a forking joke though!

It's not just the "Just The Ticket" seast that're cheap, mine cost me £330. That's £14 per game in SK1
syston_fox Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 £343 for L1Someone get me a calculator... £14.91 per game
Anish Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 If you're planning on going to around 5/6 games a season, go for the PlatinumPlus membership (£99), where you get 5 matchday tickets for any game (subject to sitting in the Kop, the Family Stand, and limited areas in the East and West Stands). I know you have to fork out £99 up front, but it brings the matchday ticket down to less than £20 and still gives you away priority and the 5% discount in the store. That's what I've gone for.

You were born Middle-Aged weren't you. Do you also find yourself getting very angry about the price of tea, the youthful appearance of policemen or the volume young people play their music at on public transport?
