Might work, but I'd rather see the money be concentrated on providing a more efficient, more regular and more punctual service.
purpleronnie Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Cameras cameras cameras - britains answer to everything.
Lovejoy Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Cameras cameras cameras - britains answer to everything. The most watched country in the world I believe.
Guest Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 It's not football that's the problem. It's the disrespectful yobs who use them that are, and there doesn't have to be a football match on to have them on the trains. Rather than spending money on installing expensive devices that will no doubt get vandalised by those they seek to capture on film, why not lower ticket prices so that there are more people on the train? In my experience of yobs on public transport, they only tend to kick off when it's empty. No doubt someone is now going to prove me wrong....
Daggers Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 No doubt someone is now going to prove me wrong.... Sheffield to Barnsley 07/08
Kilworthfox Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Sheffield to Barnsley 07/08 No trouble on the train just songs on a platform
Tabou Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Sheffield to Barnsley 07/08 Cameras will not deter violence, or yobishness ( ) It will simply make it easier for them to be caught. I personally have a bit of a phobia of public transport, and try to avoid it at all costs. I haven't caught a bus in over a year, and would prefer to drive/get a taxi. This is due to the amount of braindead individuals who chose to spend their time drinking cheaper cider, picking fights with whoever they like. Cameras or no cameras, it won't stop. And Tabou still won't get the bus/train/horse drawn carriage.
Daggers Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 No trouble on the train just songs on a platform There was a bunch of racist mother****ers on another train heading into Barnsleh...with SUAS & LD3 I seem to remember (probably incorrectly!)
ronnup Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 There was a bunch of racist mother****ers on another train heading into Barnsleh...with SUAS & LD3 I seem to remember (probably incorrectly!) should've popped a cap in their asses.

Daggers Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Oh I was with them I don't remember SUAS or LD3 refresh me plz If they were on your train then you'd be best place to correct me - I was on a train with some blokes trying to crash a hen party!

Tommy G Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 All this moaning, but I'm sure people would be the first to ask ''did you get it on CCTV'' when they have been smacked round the head by a drunken hooligan on a train. Although it's not nice to be watched 24/7, cameras do have their place in catching criminals. I think it's until you are on the receiving end of it you don't realise. this is coming from someone who has been caught on CCTV

Daggers Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 So do I, ah well only 3 years to go! Aha - now I understand... No-one forces anyone to buy anything.everyone has their own mind, just depends how you utilise it.
Zingari Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/c...icle4469907.ece if they help to catch twats like these i'd welcome them
Simi Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Cameras? What a genius idea. Money well spent again!!!!!! Awesome. Football hooligans mentioned obviously, So any fan with a beer on the train to be cautioned? I think so. Waste of time and money. Why don't the Police do their job and stop the hooligans travelling.
Tommy G Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Aha - now I understand... How very very wrong you are
