Darkzzz_ Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I am just watching Honduras v Italy. I am only really wathcing for Giovinco and Rossi. What a goal the lad just hit!! Giovinco is a special talent, I have raved about him for time now. He just needs that stage to shine, hope Juventus can give him the chance this time round.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I read a british boxer has been sent back home after failing to make the weight. Frankie Gavin as well, good boxer, serious gold medal contender.

purpleronnie Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Apparantly the boxer had a bunch of experts including nutritionists working with him, they did a bang up job.

Koke Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 I hate this whole event. Over-hyped to the max. I'll probably watch some of the football and a bit of boxing, but other than that, it's a load of bollocks.

I'll probably watch some of the football and a bit of boxing, but other than that, it's a load of bollocks. Why do you reckon it's overhyped? For many of these sportsmen and women winning a medal (and even just competing) represents the absolute pinnacle of sporting achievement.

Every news hour we have some bloke live from Beijing telling us the latest news and whatnot. Most of the sports doesn't even interest me apart from one or two, and on top of that all this political stuff that goes hand in hand with the Olympics really gets me. I wish all our athletes the best of luck, but this just ain't my cup of tea.

Fair enough. I just have a thing for sport. I will happily sit there and watch weightlifting, diving, shooting, badminton, shot put, judo, tennis, archery, sailing, rowing, marathon, hockey, whatever. I just get completely engrossed. I'll put the politics aside for the time being and just enjoy men and women pursuing, realising and shattering their dreams.

What better way to spend your birthday than pissing off Phube. Well, actually, there's probably a LOT of better ways aren't there. Like not being at work. Like drinking alcohol or snorting cocaine off a virgin's thigh while she rolls you a birthday reefer. But still. Happy birthday.
