There are in fact 5 Olypmic standard pools, with another 3 (wow) under construction or planned. However, there are in fact another 20 or so 50 metres pools which have 8 instead of 10 lanes. For training purposes there seems little difference between an 8 and 10 lane pool, so this is not reallya factor. On the other hand most of these pools are probably old and horrible. There. I have turned one moment of boredom for me into a whole load of boredom for you all.. am i right in thinking that st.margaret's baths was built 50 yards long, just before it all went metric?

It was an amazing finish but I did think the celebrations were a bit ott. I understand the olympics are the pinnacle of any athletes career but as well as lose gracefully there is such a thing as win gracefully-something Phelps and co seem to know nothing about!

Nonsense, he could see his chance of a record breaking, historic 8 medals in one games slipping away. Then they came back and won it by a very small amount.

This was a BRILLIANT fight but i cant see it replayed anywhere. Can someone find me a link pls? Although it will hurt me to say,that USA swim team did well to come from behind and hand Phelps another gold. Fcuking spawny yanky bastards!!!
