JoeyB Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Richard Stearman opened his account today! May we all congratulate him on scoring an OG for Wolves, giving forest their only goal
Corky Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Opened his account today!May we all congratulate him on scoring an OG for Wolves, giving forest their only goal He's started well at Wolves. Still, we haven't missed him have we? Gilbert looks a great addition to the squad. I hope it was a diving header
Mark Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 "Great preformance today, our midfield was sensational and stearman is a differant class" "Stearman was my Man of the Match. Wanted the ball, good in the air, won his tackles - has pace - he is key this season - well done lad!" Seems to have started off well in his proper position.
Matt Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 I'm glad he's gone, He did return back to form towards the end of last season, but IMO when he broke into the first team he was our best player that season, the seasons that followed he was awful and he played well on the back end of last season. When he plays well, he plays very well, on a whole from what I saw of him here he was awful and what I thought couldn't be bothered. Apparently he is doing pretty well at Wolves, Congratulations to him, but if he wasn't going to play consistently well here then what's the point in having him, Glad to see the back of him tbh, and here's to many more OG's for Wolves
Unabomber Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 I think we sold him for a good price, so good luck to him. But no more scoring for Forest.
RowlattsFox Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Seems to have done very well so far at centre back. I don't have a problem with him so I hope he does well.
st.ives blue Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Seems to have done very well so far at centre back. I don't have a problem with him so I hope he does well. went to see ,wolves at plymouth first day of the season, stearman had a nightmare against rory fallon who is no adebayor.Losing his man time and again, miss kicks and generally looking a very average player.1.5 mill outstanding buisness.
The Stig Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Good luck to him but I don't think we miss him, unless of course he becomes an England center back.
Maybes Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Good one Stearz. Im so glad he has vacated leicester.
bigneville Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Good one Stearz. Im so glad he has vacated leicester. He was in Manilla last night. With Weso, Mattock + Lee Cox.
lavrentis Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I read in the paper that it wasn't Stearman that scored the own goal.
davieG Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Looked a bit harsh calling it a Stearman own goal.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I'd have to see it again but I thought on the highlights he was standing on the opposite side of the six yard box.
davieG Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I'd have to see it again but I thought on the highlights he was standing on the opposite side of the six yard box. It was difficult to who was responsible I don't think whoever touched it last knew much about where it was going to end up.
Spiritwalker Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I still think in the long run Stearman will turn out to be our biggest loss this summer.
Corky Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I still think in the long run Stearman will turn out to be our biggest loss this summer. I don't. We've got a very good replacement in Kerrea Gilbert.
Guest Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I don't. We've got a very good replacement in Kerrea Gilbert. Totally agree. He's been consistently good so far
Joe. Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I don't miss Stearman one bit. Or McAuley and Hume for that matter. We've managed to recover from these players' departures and replace them comfortably enough.
