Mickey O'Neil Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 For this season..... There's a thread somewhere where Kerrea said he'd join us!!
Ric Flair Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Stearman will do well there, most certainly once Mick McCarthy get's the boot eventually and he plays under a decent manager. We may not be missing him right now as we seem to be handling League One very well, but at a higher level would we be as comfortable? Not yet. So to say Gilbert is as good, if not better is a little ambitious.

Not yet. So to say Gilbert is as good, if not better is a little ambitious. Agreed, Gilbert is doing a fine job for us, let's not look backwards but look forward, if we get promoted and he is still with us, we will see if he's up for the challenge. Good luck to Stearman, he is no longer s city player hence i'm no longer interested in the fella!!
cecchini Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 I don't miss Stearman one bit. Or McAuley and Hume for that matter. We've managed to recover from these players' departures and replace them comfortably enough. Don't forget we are in League 1 and not the championship... I wish Stearman and the rest the very best of luck.
Father Ted Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Good Luck to him but we're not going to miss him. 1) we have Kerrea Gilbert and 2) it was very good business.
Daggers Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 I'd have to see it again but I thought on the highlights he was standing on the opposite side of the six yard box. I did. He was.
Bryn Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 By all accounts Stearman is doing an excellent job for them. And good luck to him.
Tommy G Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 he didn't even score the OG according to a couple of papers I've read. He is also doing well at Wolves, got a couple of MOTM awards. If they go up then I'm sure he'll be the one laughing, not us. he's playing at CB there, his proper position. How none of our managers understood this is beyond me.

As i said in a earlier post, he was garbage at centre back against plymouth, as he was for us most of the time.
whitlock Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 Couldnt be arsed to make a new thread but stearz has been called up to england u21 squad
Matt Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 According to a Wolves fan I know, some/most of the Wolves fans are claiming he's the next Joleon Lescott. Joleon Lescott is good don't get me wrong, but Wolves fan's wank over him should be first name in an England squad if you ask some And they have a couple of players who could get in a top 4 Premiership side And they have 2 of the best keepers in the country Wolves fans, some of them anyway really are deluded.
DBEightyFive Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 He didn't look too upset yesterday when I saw him and his girlfriend at Alton Towers. They were about 5 people ahead of me in queue for Oblivion. I did think about starting to chant Ring of Fire but then decided against making a fool of myself
Thracian Posted 2 September 2008 Posted 2 September 2008 By all accounts Stearman is doing an excellent job for them. And good luck to him. We of course, never tried the guy at centre-back and every time the idea was mentioned it was ridiculed. Thankfully though we seem to have quality centre-backs in Tunchev and Hobbs.
The Reverend Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 He'll start playing for the U21's now he's left Leicester. Everybody hates Leicester. Besides, i dont miss him. Give me a cultured, experienced, international centre back over Stearman any day.
moseeds Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 I always said he'd do well to leave. Playing here was stagnating his career. Good luck stearz! Give it a few years and he'll be in the England squad as a fringe player for sure.
Matt Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 He got sent off last night Mad Mick doesn't sound to impressed either; Wolves boss Mick McCarthy branded Richard Stearman’s actions “criminal” as he cited the defender’s red card as a turning point in his team’s heavy defeat. After Wolves had pulled back to 3-2, the former Leicester man was shown a second yellow card for pushing Leroy Lita, who immediately went on to complete his hat-trick with Norwich’s fourth goal. And McCarthy said: “We weren’t playing very well but we got ourselves back in the game twice, so to do that was just ridiculous. It was criminal. “I don’t know whether the second booking was harsh because I haven’t seen it again. “But even if Lita grabbed him first, you can’t do what he did if you’ve already been booked. “I’ve no doubt Lita pulled him because he was doing it all night.” Stearman conceded free-kicks and bookings for the first and fourth goals, Michael Kightly lost possession in the build-up to the second, Carlos Edwards gave away a suicidal header for the third and a lunge from substitute Jason Shackell led to the fifth. Well Done Stearz
Jimmy Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 He got sent off last night Mad Mick doesn't sound to impressed either; Well Done Stearz he's been brilliant for them for most of the season
Corky Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Apparently one of my mates had a bit of an argument with young Dicky. At a corner, my mate sits near the goal at Carrow Road, and there was a bit of banter, then Stearman pointed aggressively at him and shouted things I thought the sending-off was hilarious, tried to be clever and looked like a right Raj (twat) when he realised he'd made a mistake.
JakeShingler Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 he's been brilliant for them for most of the season Own goal sending off
syston_fox Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Own goal sending off And that just sums up your knowledge of football really doesn't it? You've spotted two negatives in his season and assumed he's not doing very well.
AmericanScott Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Own goal sending off The Wolves fans absolutely love Dick. He's been great at centerback for them. Those two things happen to most footballers (especially defenders).
JakeShingler Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 And that just sums up your knowledge of football really doesn't it? You've spotted two negatives in his season and assumed he's not doing very well. I was messing.
Daggers Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 And that just sums up your knowledge of football really doesn't it? You've spotted two negatives in his season and assumed he's not doing very well. He's having a great season so far, really proving his worth. Hey, thinking about it, who said he would have made us a great captain this year?
