DB11 Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 Finners how good is Omer Sinsmanglou? My Scout found him with a potential ability of 6!? That answers your own question; not very
Aleksz Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 oh, i thought i the pa's you talk about and the ones the scouts have were differant. in that case whats the highest? 10?
morris1234 Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 oh, i thought i the pa's you talk about and the ones the scouts have were differant. in that case whats the highest? 10? the highest PA is 200, however there are various youngsters who have PA's much lower than there CA. some even minus numbers, this basically means they can become as good as you want if you train them well, play them etc
FilboFox Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 the highest PA is 200, however there are various youngsters who have PA's much lower than there CA. some even minus numbers, this basically means they can become as good as you want if you train them well, play them etc The best thing to do though if you are going to modify those is to but their PA to -10... that basically means that with the right training and experience, there ability in the future is going to be one of the top in the game.
Finnegan Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 If your scouts are telling you their potential ability scores then you must have downloaded a mod because in game that's not how it works. Unless you mean the stars next to their names in which case that's something different, that's just a basic rating system and is somewhat crude. It doesn't really directly link to PA or CA scores. If you have a 20/20 scout though and he says your player can be a "Leading Premiership Player" then you're likely looking at a -8, -9 or -10. -6 is average, though. Good Championship player / bottom Premiership journeyman. Think Earnshaw or Steve Howard. -8 are the good Premiership players, will occasionally be international quality / Wonderkids but won't ever really be in the top 10 players in the world. -9s are the real gems of their generation, they're quality players and generally amongst the best. They'll be the internationals and the top Premiership players. Example is Morgan Schneiderlin, worth about 500k at Southampton - give him two or three seasons and Big Four clubs will be after him and he'll be capped for France. Sometimes even gets "The Next Michele Platini." -10s are the Messis, the Christiano Ronaldos, The Maradonas, the Peles. Like all kids with minus potential scores they aren't a certainty you still need to train them and nurture them well or they'll fail like anyone else. There are about ten -10s on the original database that I know of, I can only remember Sahko the center back at PSG off hand. Finnegan, I've tried to sign him and beat Celta to it but I'm awaiting work permit application - should there be any issues with it?? Uhmmm, he had about 17 youth caps when he signed on my game so I'm not sure. Work permits aren't a problem in the Bundesliga so I'm not sure mate, sorry.
DB11 Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 The best thing to do though if you are going to modify those is to but their PA to -10... that basically means that with the right training and experience, there ability in the future is going to be one of the top in the game. Not really. -10 is a random number in game between 180 and 200. It will get randomed and in game it's one of those therefore the best thing is to put their PA to 200.
DB11 Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 I just took over Man Utd In the Championship.... They just been relegated alongside Leicester and Fulham so should be good. I've got rid of Rooney and Ronaldo etc. on massive wages (Plus in the year 2022 they are useless)
stez Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 this is really basic, but i always set up a 'rest' training regime and put injured player onto that. do i really need to bother?
DB11 Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 this is really basic, but i always set up a 'rest' training regime and put injured player onto that. do i really need to bother? When they are injured and it's red then no because they don't do any training but when it is the orange 'Inj' then it's useful so as to lightly bring them back into it.

Finnegan Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I never change the training schedules of injured players and never, ever have problems. Including when they're orange. Think maybe once or twice in the years I've been playing I've seen a player "Return to training from an injury" see a set back. Helps that I've always got good physios though. Currently rocking both Szul and Nanni.
Fox You Forest Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Is it top two promoted in the German 2nd division?
Finnegan Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Is it top two promoted in the German 2nd division? Yes. Third plays the third-bottom team in the Bundesliga for a play off.
Ozwin Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 I don't even bother with training schedules. Does it really effect how they do on the pitch? I've coped alright for 3 seasons with Rotherham but now I'm in the Championhip I could do with every bit of help I can get.
DB11 Posted 28 May 2009 Author Posted 28 May 2009 Yes. Third plays the third-bottom team in the Bundesliga for a play off. So you could finish third-bottom but then get promoted? Wow......
shen Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 So you could finish third-bottom but then get promoted? Wow...... No, third-bottom from Bundesliga plays against third from 2nd Bundesliga in a playoff
shen Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 this is really basic, but i always set up a 'rest' training regime and put injured player onto that. do i really need to bother? I always have a 'rest' training regime, but I only use it for players that have 'red' injury (because I've noticed they still affect the coaches' workload if they stay in their normal training regime... ?? So if I've got too many players I always stick the injured ones on 'rest') and players that have signed for other teams on a bosman
DB11 Posted 28 May 2009 Author Posted 28 May 2009 No, third-bottom from Bundesliga plays against third from 2nd Bundesliga in a playoff Oh. Oops. And no need for the rolleyes
Finnegan Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 I don't even bother with training schedules. Does it really effect how they do on the pitch? I've coped alright for 3 seasons with Rotherham but now I'm in the Championhip I could do with every bit of help I can get. What!? Seriously!? Given that you can download a decent training schedule (google: Tugs Training) and get straight on with it you're an idiot to not, in my opinion. Training is a huge part of player development!! Get as many high star coaches as you can and sort your schedules out! Coaching is always the first thing I do, right away! As for the rest schedule and work loads issue, I usually have extremely light work loads as I always over-do my coaching staff anyway unless I'm in a terribly low division. I hate being at a club and only being allowed three coaches. At Sankt Pauli I have about 15 on the go at the moment on the first team alone. Oh. Oops. And no need for the rolleyes I'm sorry Danny but that really was one of your howlers.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Isn't it Ozwin that always complains about doing poorly, I think we know why now.
Aleksz Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 My Northampton Story Is In My Sig*. I Cba To Update On Here ;]
lcfc_jme Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 German Pacheco update: In 2011 with Wolves, my scouts (c/a 19, p/a 20) state that he would not be a worthwhile signing. Apparently only a decent signing for a Championship club. Apparently nowhere near the required potential to be better than either Lewandowski or Manco. Considering I also have Saivet and Blanco who can play up front as well, it's not looking good for him. Entitled to sign him on a free if I so wish. I do not. EDIT: Kyriakos Papadopoulos and Anthony Grierson. MONSTERS.
Finnegan Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Interesting! But thanks. Also, what does Saivet look like for you? Always has enormous potential on these games but in 09 he starts out pretty old already and never fully seems to improve. PS: £5m at the start of the second season from Bayern who were offloading. Shame he's a Hansa Rostock fan, but other than that - love it!
DB11 Posted 28 May 2009 Author Posted 28 May 2009 I'm sorry Danny but that really was one of your howlers. I love being in 2021/2022 season. All these regens :D
Finnegan Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 I like some regens. But I wouldn't want a game full of them. I'll probably stop once I hit 2014 if I even get that far.
