Can anyone recommend decent and cheap players for the championship? I need to reshape the squad in Jan if my form doesn't improve. I'm sitting deep in the bottom half after 6 games and unwisely spent £1m on Vassell and £2m on Bouazza.

Gotta be honest, I'm struggling a little bit really. I've not had as much time to play as you addicts and I take pre-season really, really slowly so I'm only about 9 league games into the season but I've found it a lot more of a battle than I thought I would. I mean, haha, I'm top having won 7, drawn 1 and lost 1 so that sounds a bit show-offish but I've made a real, REAL chore of it so far.

Which surprises me because I'm used to League One on the FM games. I've had a succesful Swansea game in every Football Manager so far and always stormed League One in the first season, but with a City squad much stronger than I normally had at the Jacks I've been grinding out some extremely fortunate results and playing some frankly horrible football.

It might be the fact I've got so many new signings, lots of players "unsettled" and my entire midfield lack the ability to speak English. But. Yknow.

Oh and it is ALL about the Koreans.

But Juha Hakola is a bit of a disappointment so far, my fans aren't too impressed.

If you have got rid of King And Gradel you are a fool. They kill league 1.

I believe in playing my best players. Gradel and King are neither.

I'd do go further and say that, so far, Gradel has been something of a liability for me. I don't know if you had fun with the editor or if you simply play a game that compliments his style a little better, but he was frequently losing the ball for me and looking out of his depth.

King's okay, he holds his own. But he's clearly not going to get in in front of Oakley, Mark Randall and Baek Ji-Hoon.

Gradel has been quality for me, Although someone earlier said his free kicks were amazing, That is certainly not the case on my game he's shit at them.

As for King i sold him to MK Dons for 100k in the first season, Haven't missed him at all.

I've only signed strikers really, with the exception of Koki Mizuno from Celtic who's behind Gradel in the pecking order. Gradel's done well for me so far, rarely scores, but who cares when you have Steve Marlet?

As for King, he's my best central midfielder, scored a couple of crackers too along the way.

I'm 2 points clear at the top after about 14/15 games so far.

Just had a ridiculous FA Cup game with Colchester. Was leading 2-0 and looking extremely com fortable with 5 minutes injury time added on. They duly score in the 93rd and 95th minutes to snatch a draw and take it to a replay <_< And who scored that 95th minute goal? Matt ****ing Heath. ****.

Colchester are pissing me off already on this game.

Champions League makes a massive difference. Be patient, finish top four and they'll all come rolling in. You'll still struggle with like the absolute top players, but you'll notice the jump up in who'll sign.

Deleted my Man City one, couldn't get into it at all.

Started with Watford now, only brought in Chopra, Lansbury and Helguson in on loan deals and Paul Gerrard on a free for a back-up keeper after doing well when he was on trial with me.
