Juha Hakola for couple of hundred thousand and Baek Ji-Hoon for 160k (you might need the Korean leagues turned on) were my two moments of genius so far. Ian Walker on loan, Stephen Carr for free and Mark Randall on loan completed my swoops.

DJ Campbell got shipped out to Cardiff to fund some of the above. Bruno, Kish and Powell chopped off the wage bill.

Well obviously.

:ermm:

Korean Leagues, really?

Gold mine, mate.

It's a very mixed bag, between Championship and League Two standard. The biggest problem you'll have is needing internationals for work permits but a lot of them have caps.

Cheapest players of their calibre you'll find, for sure. I always like to stick on the crappy little leagues like that. The SPL used to be brilliant in the 06 and 07 games but the prices of young Scots talent seems to have rocketed in this.

Great start so far, five wins from five in all competitions.

Most recently played Plymouth in the Carling Cup 2nd round at Home Park. They were 2-1 with 5 seconds of the match remaining, and then subsitute Daryl Murphy pops up with a goal to level it and take it into extra time.

Held out through extra time and then did them on penalties.

I decided not to release or sell Powell and actually made him captain.

The whole squad loved that decision and he's my star player so far. Mattock is left wing atm while Dyer is out injured.

Had bids for about 100K for Powell but rejected.

2nd after 7 league games. 3rd round of Carling Cup and 2nd round of JPT.

Fans love Daryl Murphy, he's got 4 so far, as has Fryatt. Bagged Steve Marlet after impressing on trial. Dickov won't **** off.

Got 250k for Levi after Crewe made about 5 bids for him. lol

I'm 6th after 21 games. FA Cup 3rd round at home to Wolves, JPT at home to Leyton Orient.

Leroy Lita  is banging them in, although, currently injured. Got Richard Kingson who the fans love.

Got Lee Hendrie for 100k in January.

I sold Levi to Crewe as well.

But i finished one full season went in to the last game against Milwall needing a win to get me the title which i did 2-nil people loving me.

Also why can't i sign free transfers that have less than 6 monhs to go on there current deal?

Connolly top scorer for the league and Gradel most assits.

Leon Andreasen is class in FM (somewhat overrated  ). Very useful squad player even at big clubs.

Also why can't i sign free transfers that have less than 6 monhs to go on there current deal?

If the club is non-EU based, the pre-contract rule does not apply.

Completed my first season last night and what a season it was.

I went on a 20 game unbeaten run at the end of the season on my way to clinching the BSP title.

Now for a crack at League 2.

Finances are really bad, I keep getting linked with a load of jobs in League's 1 & 2, Just lost my star man Hadji for 8 months (now he is retiring)

But it is all part of the challenge, even Luton stayed up on my game.

Starting from the bottom is much better.

Pre season has begun for the mighty Diamonds.

Some excellent signings so far which should help me push towards a top half finish.

Pluchinno Galuppo is one player who I love so far. Banged goals in for me in the conference last season and his pre season form reads like this:

Played 4, Scored 8.

I have him and Odhiambo up front, League 2 dream.

David Unsworth at left back who is looking good.

Could back to back promotions be on the card??

lol

Hate it. I am crap at FM09 full stop. Sailing in mid-table. I might resign and re-build my career elsewhere. Players don't respect me on it apparently.

Are you Leicester?! You don't even have to do anything spectacular to do well with them lol

Wooo!

Just finished my first season as Leicester. Finished 5th. Got promoted via the play-offs and won the JPT. :D

I only lost 6 all season but kept drawing. I was languishing in 16th in January, and about to get sacked, but then in the 2nd half of the season I only lost 1, so that got me too the play-offs,

In the JPT final I beat Leeds on pennos, I was 2-0 down with 20 minutes left and then out of no-where on the 86th minute, up pops Big Dean Windass to score a penalty, won my Heidar Helguson. Then in the 95th minute, still not in extra time, Nacer Barazite rifles a bullet header home to make it 2-2!!!

Now in extra time, Beckford scores after 46 seconds to make it 3-2 but then Windass hits a screamer to equalise. But in the 116th minute, Beckford scores a header only for Max Gradel to win a penalty in the 124th minute, and then Dean Windass to score his hat-trick. I then won on penalties. :)

In the play-off final v Millwall, I won 2-1 after extra time. Helguson bagged his 19th goal of the season in the 60th minute, but then in the 80th minute Ryan Smith scored for Millwall. Bearing in mind that if I lost this I would most likely be sacked.

But up pops the Messiah Matty in the 96th minute (extra time) to head in, score his 10th of the season and put me up to the Championship. :D

P.S. Gradel is awesome at free kicks.
