I think it's time to say

Fair play to Milan Mandaric, he has critics, we have taken a step back under him, but things are lookin brighter now, got a good young manager in Nigel Pearson, who i must say has had a fantastic start and has gave me new optimism about the club. Also, Matty Fryatt, what a start, it could've been so easy for him to just stay on the payroll but the fact that he has worked hard to re-discover himself is a testament to him and his start to the season has rewarded him and long may it continue...

Yes, it does look like Mandaric may have made the right choice of manager - at the FIFTH attempt...

Time to say, calm down. We've just beaten Cheltenham & Hartlepool, two teams punching above their weight, even at this shocking level.

Precisely, we have taken a step back under him.

Surely it is time to congratulate Mandaric when and if we move to a better position than we were in when he arrived? :dunno:

He made spectacular cock-up after mindless ****-up which resulted in this club spiraling to its lowest ever League standing, playing the worst bloody football I have ever spent money to watch.

Yes Pearson seems to be good. Yes the squad seems balanced and positive...but there'll be no let up from me about the idiotic errors he made until we have had a long period of consistency and improvement.

No I won't say fair play. His meddling and incompetence has left us at this level. It's taken him five attempts to get the right man in.

The people who deserve our praise at the moment are Nigel Pearson, his staff and our squad.

exactly. You don't watch someone smash your windows and then say well done when they put one back in. We should not forget the fact of where we are for the first time ever, in a long history. We got fooked last year. Royally. We are playing well, yes, In league 1. Fryatt is scoring hat fulls, yes, in league 1 as he has proved he can. Nothing new. I'm happy about the results, and happy about the positive vibes and team. But we are at least a Championship team and he took that away. He's not on the xmas list yet

TBH he hasnt done that much, I'm pretty sure most managers would have got Leicester to the top this season. We are in division 3 you know.

Doesn't matter. He came in with the club at it's lowest point, after five dreadfully frustrating years, changed the team completely and is getting results in a difficult league, playing good football and winning matches with flair and steel. With a demanding chairman hanging over him, and expectant, disillusioned supporters, this job was extremely tough, one of the toughest around.

He changed the mentality straight away, and the fans are now much more positive and enjoying following this club again.

If he wasn't there to do that, someone else would have got those decisions wrong. Clearly things can still go wrong from here, but i sense that in an odd way going down could be the best thing that could have happened - it's given a lot of people a reality check and looks like it has helped get us back into the winning habit.

We keep referring to the limitations of Division One football teams but there were plenty of crap teams in the Championship and we didn't beat them, or even set out to beat them with any intent on many occasions.

Whatever Pearson does or doesn't do in the future he's done an enormous amount already.

We've been in serious decline and successive managers have lacked the character and single-mindedness necessary to do something about it.

Pearson has brought in a whole range of quality players, turned a dour set-up into one which is full of attacking potency, rekindled the enthusaism of Howard, Fryatt and, I believe, Campbell when it finally shows through.

He's changed our whole philosophy, developed partnerships, picked mostly balanced teams, got the best out of some youngsters, put at least one more in the first team frame and turned some losers into winners.

Most of all he's given us our pride back and something to really look forward to again.

I don't think that's bad with his first season still less than a month old.

Agreed and lets not forget there are some quality players in this division, its where Martin O'Neill picked up the likes of Matt Elliot, Robbie Savage, Neil Lennon, Steve Guppy...and that was part of a quality Premiership midfield at the time!!

I think Milan's best signing has been the Chief Exec Lee Hoos.

He seems to have picked big Nige (I'll admit I was wrong about Pearson) and seems to have controlled MM's desire to sign over priced wasters.

i also wasn't very keen on Nigel Pearson, but i'm delighted he has proved me wrong, fair play to the guy, doing a magnificent job, keep up the good work Nige :)
