Fryatt's CRAP!!! and has aways been CRAP!!1 Dickov should be in the team, in place of Fryatt FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!! 2 Gradel looked U/S and should of been subbed at H/T!!!! 3 We have Only played one team in the top 6 places in league one (((AND LOST))) we are an average team in a poor league (((((((((((((((((Nothing More))))))))))......... Fryatt's not crap. He's in good form and scoring for once. He can't really do much more than that. Get rid of him for the rest of the season? Have a word with yourself.

RowlattsFox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 No changes, Fryatt and Howard are our best 2 strikers. A couple more games like today then they should be dropped but not after one bad game. One thing for sure though is that if they are not performing, like today, then they should be subbed, having 4 strikers on the pitch doesn't work.

Have a word with yourself. Fryatt is one lazy SOAB...You have seen the best of him this season...that's him done he will live on his good start for the next 10 games and then get dropped! That guy does not have a full season of consistant football in him (AND NEVER HAS FOR US) DICKOV IS THE MAN YOU WILL SEE.......

JakeShingler Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Im sure every one was up Fryatts arse now hes had one bad game....
Daggers Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 check my dubstep sounds: insideriot myspace Nice. I like a bit of dubstep. (Apologies if this now puts the kiss of death on anyone taking you seriously as a musician)
Maybes Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Some of the comments in here. I thought people had more sense. Drop our top scorer....I think not!
Rocky Dennis Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Fryatt just ruins our team he's slow and contribute's nothing either Dickov or Campbell, personally i think Campbell deserves a chance but people will probably disagree with me or Dickov looked good when he came on.BTW Howard was awesome today. By that, do you mean slow,plodding,dis-interested, lazy, weak etc...?
dandannieldanok Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 By that, do you mean slow,plodding,dis-interested, lazy, weak etc...? I would have been disinterested after a while with all the aimless long balls punted towards him, usually with both central defenders doubling up.
lifted*fox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Nice. I like a bit of dubstep.(Apologies if this now puts the kiss of death on anyone taking you seriously as a musician) No worries mate, glad you checked it out! If you're about on a Sunday night, I spin live on www.shedbass.net from 8-9pm.
demon_dog Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 There is nothing wrong with our basic team that some renewed sharpness training, some free-kick/corner practice and some routines involving a change of tactics wouldn't put right.Yes, the team has its weaknesses but nothing dramatic and if today's defeat had to be put down to one thing it was the human error of Gilbert taking his eye off a simple pass and conceding possession which subsequently lead to goal. Until that happened we were dominating possession and Millwall, while always combative, were very subdued. Once again Thracian you are correct, that was my opinion of how they came to score. As for Fryatt, I do not deny that he has indeed scored goals for us this season, however at least 3 of them could have been scored by you or I had we been playing. Personally during the game yesterday I would have taken Fryatt off with over half an hour to go and put Dickov upfront in his place. This is were Dickov belongs, not out on the wing. For the Fryatt fans out there, I'm sorry but to me he is not a natural striker and never will be.
Simi Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 My main problem with Fryatt is that he's still not improving in his weakest areas. He holds onto the ball far to long and there were at least three occasions yesterday where he could have laid it on to another team mate to set up a golden chance. But, at the moment he's been scoring and there is no need to drop a player that's scoring, although I don't think he brings an awful lot more to the table as regards being a key player for us. Howard has been used as the link between the midfield and the forwards, it's worked well. He's won headers most of the time and his hold up play has drastically improved since last season. I think Dickov is good assest to us, when he's not on the wing. He could be vital in games away from home as he doesn't let defenders dictate the speed of how they play the ball out the back. Hurrying teams is important and Dickov does that better than most. I wouldn't complain to much if he was to start with Howard against Orient, it would make sense.
ThorpeAstleyFox Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 What are some of you guys on? First and foremost dropping a striker who has scored 6 goals in 7 games is just crazy - if he hasn't added to his tally by the end of the month and plays poorly (I personally thought he was as good as anyone wearing blue yesterday) then I'd consider dropping him - but not until then. Secondly, sometimes he does take too many touches, but often his deft footwork around the box is exactly what's needed to keep possesion and I thought he made a couple of good lay-offs against Milwall. Finally, if Gradel had've played him in when he was unmarked after about 12 minutes then I'm confident that he would have scored and we would have gone on to win the game. Now don't get me wrong, I feel that Fryatt is missing a lot of the key attributes to being a top-class striker (i.e. pace and/or being good in the air) but I feel that he is a better than Dickov or Campbell and is showing that he can do a great job in this division.

Chrysalis Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 fryatt is our top scorer, that alone should garuantuee him a start. I would rather be looking to blame the rest of the players who I expect to score as we not spreading the goals round much. It is worrying if fryatt cant score we cant win.

However. 6 goals in 7 games can't be knocked - I would personally drop the donkey and get DJ or Dicky in today - I still feel Howard contributes too little overall

Candidcamera Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Good post. No need to change what we've got. There will be injuries and IMO we haven't got strength in these positions. I hope Chambers is back soon.
