mmarkie Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 What does everyone think the team for Leyton Orient be? Heres my guess; GK:Henderson RB:Gilbert CB:Hobbs CB:Tunchev LB:Berner RM:Gradel CM:Oakley© CM:Wesolowski LM:Dyer ST:Howard ST:Dickov Subs Martin Morrison Adams Fryatt Campbell
Asha Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Martin Berner Tunchev Hobbs Gilbert Dyer Oakley King Gradel Fryatt Howard Subs: Henderson Morrison Wesolowski Campbell Dickov
mmarkie Posted 13 September 2008 Author Posted 13 September 2008 Think? It'll probably be the same as today Doubt it we played awful.
Vo Rogue Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Think? It'll probably be the same as today If NP plays the same team he's a slow learner. It'd bet he very first nail in his coffin as manager if he doesn't take something from the defeat.
Asha Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 If NP plays the same team he's a slow learner. It'd bet he very first nail in his coffin as manager if he doesn't take something from the defeat. We had a bad game today, but that doesn't mean he should change everything around. Taking something from the game could mean he works out a different system for the players or work on a few things....changing everything isn't necessarily the right thing to do.
SamL Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Doubt it we played awful. Yet it was pretty much the same team that took us to the top of the table. It's only one bad game out of 8 and we've had 7 pretty decent ones. We don't need major changes, if any at all. I'd give it another game at least. It's a shame we weren't playing last weekend, I think we lost a bit of our momentum. I'm hoping it's just a case of the Manager of the month award strikes again.
Corky Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Martin Gilbert (if fit) Hobbs Tunchev Berner Gradel King/Weso Oakley Dyer Howard Fryatt
Benji Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Tunchev has to start so there will definitely be 1 change. I think Porter or Adams will get a run on either of the wings. Possibly Dickov for Fryatt but unlikely.

No. But he has to be a bit smarter and teams that are going to be up for it then play players in form with a bit of muscle. Not like some today that took it a bit easy on some tackles.
SamL Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 MartinGilbert (if fit) Hobbs Tunchev Berner Gradel King/Weso Oakley Dyer Howard Fryatt I concur.

Jimmy Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 well after what is easily our worst performance of the season and hopefully a beasting from Pearson, Taggs and co on the training ground as penance for the dross they served up today we will bounce back to form team I'd pick is Martin Gilbert* Hobbs Tunchev PowellGradel Wesolowski A. King DyerDickov© HowardSubs. Henderson, Morrison, Oakley, Fryatt & McKay/C. King *O'Neill if Gilbert isn't fit hopefully Mr Allen is about to take Campbell on loan before then signing him permanently in Jan as a way to make up with Milan ... Tunchev is the better CB of the 3 and Hobbs is probably better then Morrison, Oakley should be dropped after disappearing today and Weso is probably due a league start, same goes for Dickov, he's due a league start and Fryatt went missing today. Pearson needs to show he's got a ruthless streak to ensure that the players don't get too comfortable
clazkel Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Hendo Gilbert (if fit) Hobbs Tunchev BernerGradel Oakley Weso DyerHoward Fryatt or Hendo Hobbs Morrison TunchevGilbert----------------------------DyerWeso OakleyHowardDickov Fryatt
RowlattsFox Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 I'd make 2 changes, Henderson and Tunchev for Martin and Morrison. Today wasn't good enough, lets see what there response is like.
Nugent Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Henderson Gilbert Tunchev Morrison BernerGradel Adams Oakley DyerHoward Fryatt Subs: Martin, Dickov, King, Hobbs, Campbell. I think Hobbs had a poor game today, Morrison looked a bit more steady. Tunchev looked very calm when he came on.
Mark Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Same team but swap King for Weso, Stockport gave them a thrashing today so shouldn't be a problem bouncing back. If it's not working then strikers off for strikers on
Tilley Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Henderson Gilbert Hobbs Tunchev BernerAdams King Weso DyerHoward Campbell/Fryatt Subs: Martin, Morrison, Gradel, Dickov, Fryatt/Campbell. Just please give Campbell more than ten minutes, please.
Thracian Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Henderson; Gilbert, Hobbs, Tunchev, Berner (assuming he's better than Powell) Gradel, King, Weso, Dyer; Howard, Fryatt. subs: Morrison, Adams, Porter, Dickov, Campbell. Mind you I think Dyer was awful yesterday. He seems to move from one extreme to the other, "the other" being the norm when games become physical.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 September 2008 Posted 14 September 2008 Martin Morrison Tunchev Hobbs BernerGradel Oakley King DyerCampbell Howard If Gilbert is fit then him back at right back. Thats what I would like to see anyway, Campbell needs a chance upfront and to show us what he can do in League 1 when given 90 minutes. His pace will tear defences apart.

Give the guy a break! I strongly believe that if he hadn't come on and played the way he did against Hartlepool then they would have equalised before too long. He can cut it at this level given the right chance. I think he's a confidence striker, if he can get the goal then a few will come.

I'm inclined to agree with you though Fryatt's goals so far suggest it is hard to make a case for dropping him. He looks dangerous against poor defences but when the opposition is biting a bit and well organised he seems to struggle, as did almost everyone else yesterday to be fair. There's no doubt though that Campbell's biggest problem is how to get a decent run in the team. I certainly don't think Pearson's helping by giving him 10 minutes at a time.
