Sly Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Yeah. You play for Corinthians i'm presuming after seeing your post earlier? Yes, it's our first season. I used to play for Grampus. The team is basically made up of lads that play for Ibstock United on a Saturday, so we should do okay.

We got out of it last season easy enough in our first season, shame we're probably going to end up back in it

Sly Posted 22 September 2009 Posted 22 September 2009 ....Is it the same team as World of Trouble, if so how are you managing to play indoor at Ashby and outdoor at Hermitage the same night? Not really, three Worlds Of Trouble and one XXL lads play for Grampus. Only two of us from Corinthians play indoor on a Sunday, myself as I play for XXL and one lad that plays for Worlds Of Trouble, You just have a big squad so you can totate it around. I prefer playing outdoors, football shouldn't be played with a giant tennis ball, played off walls and enclosed in a room that has the temperature similar to that of Dubai without the air con switched on.
Wilkesy Posted 22 September 2009 Posted 22 September 2009 We got hammered 14-4 last night by the Brazil of 5 a-side. Spose theres always 2nd place to play for!
Maybes Posted 22 September 2009 Posted 22 September 2009 We got hammered 14-4 last night by the Brazil of 5 a-side.Spose theres always 2nd place to play for! I chipped in with 2 specials

The Indoor Leagues alright for a laugh. Struggle to take it too seriously after playing in the morning and and being in the pub all day but it's alright. Certainly better than trapsing over to Hermitage fook that for a game. You playing Wednesdays this year?

You playing Wednesdays this year? The standard of the indoor league is decent but the Hermitage is closer to me so it's just easier. The better teams at Hood Park take it seriously and are just a cut above everyone else in the league. Goodfellas, Worlds Of Trouble and Aquarius are only droppuing points to each other. Dynamo have done okay this year but Ford of struggled, losing the more physical games against Weasel and M7. .... then XL have just been dire!! Not sure about Wednesday games this year, out injured now until 2010 then I travel a lot for work so I hardly get chance to play. Hastings are still one of the best sides you'll play 5 a side against in Leicestershire. They are just a cut above everyone else. They scored 100+ goals in the Premier league last season and only let in one! Incidently, they walked the league!!

Be alright, I've decided we're going to beat them this year. (Hasting that is)

(Hasting that is) Yes. Not a lot between the three of us when we play each really. Altough Ford are not out of danger yet I don't think. Who's coming up?

Aint really got a clue. Mixed Bag defo and I think Stroke City, then I think it's Fattys or us, which probably means Fattys as I don't think I can a team this week if we have a game. Not that I want to go up anyway.
lildave3 Posted 27 September 2009 Posted 27 September 2009 Lost 1-0 tonight, could easily have been more. Struggling going forward.
Bert Posted 27 September 2009 Posted 27 September 2009 Fc Tudor conceded their first goal of the season, and with it was our first loss too. Was a very tight first half, and they scored a screamer, but our keeper should've done better I think! We played really well in the second half and the ball just would not go in for us.
Sly Posted 27 September 2009 Posted 27 September 2009 Lost 1-0 tonight, could easily have been more.Struggling going forward. I watched a bit of your game. We won 5-0 tonight against the most defensive 5 a side team I've ever seen. We used the width of the pitch and tried to draw them out and they didn't bother. They just camped 5 men in their half of the pitch and allowed us to have the ball. At one stage we put 40 odd passes together and they just let us have the ball!!
Mikey Posted 27 September 2009 Posted 27 September 2009 Lost 1-0 tonight, could easily have been more.Struggling going forward. I'll be back next week. On the pitch as well.

They had some lad at the back who thought he was something and was demanding the team to not go beyond the halfway line when we had the ball. 5-3 up with 5 minutes left, we just stroked around easy and this so called bigshot reckoned they'd do us in the final five minutes. He was so full of shit, it just fired us up. Best nugget at the end of the game was 'Good game lads. Should have been a draw at least.' We must have had 30 shots on their goal and they had 3!

The best five/six a side teams don't play with an out and out defender as you don't need one. Five/six a side is an attacking game and you defend by keeping the ball. I must say if it was 5-3 and they only have 3 shots you need to assess your keeper though!!

Bit harsh that your first conceded goal sees you drop to second in the table. We did ok against Galaticos but just couldn't quite hold out, losing 1-0.

Poor goals to concede admitted on our part. Farting about with the ball. The flaw in the logic was apparent that once one of our players beat an opposition player, they'd just lose shape. We'd been playing pretty rough recently and storming off in leads, then not keeping them, so I was happy just to get a win on the board.

Well old jokers I suppose is the techinical term as you don't play for em anymore. Not feeling too confident. Hoping we can nick something though.

CosbehFox Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 Won 10-5 after being 5-3. Magic comeback after I had a tantrum. We started playing some lovely one touch stuff in the last ten minutes.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 I heard Magners were terrible last night??? What was the final score? Yeah they were oddly bad. Although they still beat us 2-1. Think we deserved to win though, just couldn't score, in the right net anyway one of their goals was a OG, oh when back passes go wrong
