General Smuts Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Why don't everyone bring there 5-a-side teams along and make a tournament. Bit far for my lot to travel to be honest.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Why don't everyone bring there 5-a-side teams along and make a tournament. It'd take some organising that would.
lildave3 Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Oh, and our result means we're off the bottom, despite only getting our first points last week! FC Famous 5 next week, win that and we'll be a point off of safety.

Sly Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 /wishful thinking. Whoever gets relegated will come straight back up.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 Whoever gets relegated will come straight back up. Much is the way in 5 a side. Got your old lot again tomorrow.

Manwell Pablo Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 Magners? I only played for them on a Wednesday once or twice. Indoor outdoor same thing. Sort of.
Sly Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 Indoor outdoor same thing.Sort of. Nah, I detest that outdoor tennis court with a passion.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 We lost again 1-0 this time, we're in a terrible run atm, playing ok (except for the Tudor match) just not quite clicking.
Sly Posted 19 November 2009 Posted 19 November 2009 Indoor outdoor same thing.Sort of. I made my return last night on the outdoor pitch for XL as we beat 2nd in the league 8-3. I think XL have Legends on Sunday night so I'm going to try and play depending on how the injury feels.

We're going to spank you (I actually have a team for once)
Sly Posted 19 November 2009 Posted 19 November 2009 2nd in the league, you mean Prawns, that league is so dire now it's unbelivable. We're going to spank you (I actually have a team for once) Yes, they were quite woeful to be frank!! I've no idea what the standard is like in either league to be honest as I've only been making cameo appearances for the past 5 months since I got injured. I don't even know where XL are in the division in either the outdoor or indoor league at the moment. To be honest, I just turn up and play for them. I think we'll have a fairly strong side out as well from what I can gather.

Which left me clean through to smash the ball into the net for our first goal.

They're toss, they've been cannon fodder in division 2 since I started playing 2/3 years ago, but now the divisions so wanky they're 2nd . If they get promoted it will be public humilation every week. We Normally do them 6-7 nil and we're always struggling to stay up in the Prem so the better teams would cane them. The standard in div 2 as said is about as poor as it's ever been. The old Dynamoe team you used to play for that would walk it now if they got 5 every week, I think 4 would do in most cases. I think XL are struggling because they don't get a team every week. Prem standard wasn't great at the start of the season but a few teams have dropped out and been replaced and a few of the exisisting teams have gone out and got some better players and now it's rather good again . Magners will get about 4th I should think. It'll be fun anyway, I know one of our lot used to run Double XL so they'll all be looking to kick lumps out of him.

We just couldn't get a team at Dynamo. When I joined we were turning up with four players and struggling to beat teams, when we had five we generally spanked people in the lower division. We just couldn't get a team on a regular basis, similar to what XL have done this season by the sound of it. Eventually we just gave it up as a bad idea. I'm going to try and play for XL on a Wednesday where I can, Hastings apart, I can't imagine the standard being top drawer in either league.

It's very good in the top league bar a few teams who will more than likely go down, that includes us I'd imagine although we still have a fair chance. A few teams have pushed Hasting in games this year. Lost 5-3 after being 3-1 up which is bad if we'd of beat them we'd of more than likely been alright.
CosbehFox Posted 20 November 2009 Posted 20 November 2009 Well, we won 8-6 last night and it was a welcome change to play in a game where neither team was looking to kick-off after my antics two weeks in beating the top side, 11-10. The game pace was that slow, at times I felt like Bergkamp bar missing a golden chance. Winding up some fella...I outpaced him and then came back myself, did some pouncey dive, won the free-kick....I am only 13 stone and half. Keep this up....could be third tier for us! After three season of being the basement of the lot and given our best player has been in and out with his knee in the past six months, we lose a lot of players once in the winter months kick in....it's finally beginning to look worth.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 November 2009 Posted 20 November 2009 I'd be up for Shaun's idea of a tournament. My lot would reform and be the whipping boys.
lildave3 Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Delighted tonight, we won 4-3 despite going 2-0 down after about 3 minutes. Fought hard, finished well, and i'm loving my veterans role at the back
Bert Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Won 3-0. Was hard in pouring rain and whipping wind. We played really well though, and I scored which I'm obviuosly pleased about.

Then I made the small venture over to Ashby to play for XL against Mannys Legends team and we somehow drew 0-0 despite getting battered!!
Maybes Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Looking for one potentially two players to play for Shakhtar tomorrow night.......??
