Meant a) kick-off time was changed with 5 hours notice b) then the opposition didn't turn up c) then the opposition didnt turn up at the original time of 9.15 and then finally d) give us just a 30 minute friendly!

Grampus beat Novices and Kings Arms beat Famus 5!! We are now 4 points clear and have a massive goal difference so promotion should be on!! Only two up/two down as well.

Obviously that sounds a bit crazy considering we don't have a point but still. Although I expected you to beat Dark Horses by more.

It was just one of those games, we didn't pass the ball around well and didn't take our chances. I played in nets and I only had three saves to make for the entire match. The goal we let in was a bit of a comedy as I made a save down to my left, the ball spun up and smashed me in the face and deflected right back into the path of their man!

I'm wearing shades to play in, in his honour. Wasn't allowed to wear the shades. It was neither sunny nor do i have glaucoma. Played 2 games on the trot and help my team to an 8-0 victory, which would have been well into double figures were it not for our poor finishing and some heroic goalkeeping. Bagged 2 including a penalty which i spanked against both posts, Davids-esque in it's flair. Also finally bagged a goal from open play with the last kick of the game. Puts us top of the prem. Second game i helped a mates team to a 7-0 victory making them 2nd in the league behind us by the 1 goal. Having had a lot of banter with the ref in the first game - won 2 pens and should've had a third but he pityed the other team, he took the piss when i finally bagged in this game by calling it offside - i scored from the halfway line. Cheeky bleeder. Won another pen in this game within 2 seconds of being on the pitch and without touching the ball. Was well up for playing today, Edgar's actually made me giddy. Great fun. EDIT: Also in the first game my best mate popped his knee out. Looked horrible. Was a shame to lose him as we kneeded him on the pitch. OLE!

I've never played them Manny ... saying that I've not played on a Wednesday for donkeys due to my ongoing injury! I've resigned to playing in nets and making the odd cameo appearance. I was told the Champions League had been scrapped becuase Lesuire Leagues were taking over???!?!? You qualify for this national tournament if you finish in the top two instead. My gripe with the Leisure Leagues format at the Hermitage is as follows: A) We're playing on half a pitch with six players ... why not play to a reduced pitch size? It's no wonder we batter poorer teams becuase we move the ball around! B) You can't play over head hight and this rule is hard to determine anyway!! C) The guest player rule is an utter joke! D) Unlimited squad numbers ..... everyone is Chelsea E) Abandonded games automatically become 6 point games next time rather than a replay. F) Over priced!! £18 a game now per team. Plus points are the format it's done in, nice touches with the website etc ..... saying that, anyone can knock together a website and run this sort of thing I'd imagine!! I might buy some land and set my own league system up!!!

Erm, dunno, as Hood Park hasn't been taken over (yet) so even if we were to get top 2 (hardly likely we'll get 3rd at best) I doubt we'll be entered into a Leisure Leagues national tournament. Less bothred about tonights game now Playing 6 players on the tennis courts would be ridiculous too fecking small as it is, I've herd loads of people complain about the guest rule, and it is a joke, and £18 is wank. To be honest they're all major draw backs IMO should of told leisure leagues to do one!
General Smuts Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 Massive game today top of the table clash between my Wednesday team and my Sunday team. My Wednesday team won 6-3 in the most tiring game i've played in ages. Without blowing my own trumpet i've bagged one of the best 5-a-side goals i've ever seen. Gascoigne/Bergkamp-esque, i took it out the air with my back to goal on my left, still in the air i took it round the defender with my right, then round the corner with the ball still in the air i spanked it with my left on the volley top corner. Exquisite. fook knows what came over me! I celebrated so much that i had to sub off cos i was so tired Managed to bag another and set up a couple as well, also had a goal disallowed when i took a quick free kick and beat the keeper. The ref dragged it back cos it wasn't in the right spot. Livid but it was a brilliant game, that i had to play most of as our only sub went off with the shits Can't wait till Sunday to gloat to the others haha!

In answer to my own question, they are better than us, well better than the team we put out last night anyway which was not the one I would of liked to put out <_<

Although having said that saw them last week and the teams about as week as it ever has been at the minute, which is still pretty good but they were lucky to beat Peas on Wednesday, Keeper and won it for them.
