At least we're consistent, two 6-0's against you this season lol:frusty:

Disappointed with my own performance, a few decent saves but really should have saved one or two of the goals. If your team were really at full throttle for the full game it would have been double figures. You and the other lad up front tore us to shreds.

The main reason it wasn't double figures, was you! The one thing that annoys me about us, is when we get a comfortable lead, we seem to stop playing. Your main problem is as soon as you go a goal down, your whole teams heads drops and you think you've lost there and then. You're normally our bogey team!

Hood Park being taken over by Leisure Leagues next year outdoor, boo. Considering pulling out.

Imo, the worst thing about Leisure Leagues is that after a goal, play is restarted by the keeper, not a kick off.

Annoying.

Personally think it's better.

Try "boxing teams in" - We do this and it's very effective, with every player marked the keeper is struggling to find a pass and you have every chance of retaining the ball.

Yeah we conceded from someone doing it to us last night :giggle:

It's poor though I think.

It's the price that does me, we charge £3 for 90 minutes of 11 a side football at Railway, I begrudge paying £3.50 (Price based on £18 for X 5 players) for 24 minutes of chasing Hastings round a under sized Tennis Court.

Although it will be interesting to see how they (Hastings) get on in that national tournament because they are shit hot.

..... no time to celebrate!!

We won 10-1 this week. I think 3 more wins and promotion is confirmed. We'll pass you lads on the way up!!

If you boys can get a few results you might stay up though, as it's only 2 up/2 down.

I watched a bit of your game as our lads stood between the two pitches. Goals everywhere!!!!

We do this as well. A number of times the GK has thrown it to one of our lads then watched it sail back past him and nestle in the back of the net!

I think the Grampus 8 side that beat the FC Barnes on Sunday night would rival Hastings ..... saying that, it did have a Hastings player in it!!

Was it Mattley if so bit of a silly statement to make seeing as he runs Hastings lol

lol .... Yes Mattley now plays for Grampus at the Hermitage as well!

I agree with you though, paying £3 to run around after Hastings on a Wednesday evening is not something I'm looking to entertain.

Another wonder goal from deep for me today, and i wasn't even gonna play. Have a dead leg now to go with the twinged hamstring thanks to some bad boy unit playing at the back for the oppo. Won 8-6 but it should have been more, i had plenty of chances and only bagged twice. Got a few assists as well so i'm happy with the performance.

Just got the call im needed again today at half 6.

Played 3 on Weds and finally broke the goal glut. Not happy. First game was a hard one against a team who were far fitter and faster than us but our solid defending and finishing proved us to be better than them. Won 6-4, slotted another penalty away - still not missed this season. Got a few assists as well, always good.

Second game was the first game this season where i haven't bagged. It was a friendly for a team of mates who i filled in for as a sub as and when they needed it. I played probably 5 minutes or so and set up a goal but dint bag. Not amused.

Third game was the one that mattered and it showed. Got into a handbags square up with one of thier players and spent most of the game screaming at the referee to make any sort of decisions. In the first half i took a hefty boot to the top of my foot, very high, right in front of the ref and he did fook all. Played on with the other team having the ball. In the second half i was through on goal with the ball in the air and got clattered by the defender, studded on the kneecap, which is still bruised (from Wednesday) and the fella followed through with his elbow as well. Left with a nosebleed and 4 lovely stud marks in my kneecap. Play on says the ref. I was livid and duly told the ref so. Ridic. Was so pissed off that when i chased the ball back i swiped the fella from behind who caught me. He duly stood up and showved me, i shoved back. Still the ref did nothing. Later on in the same game, one of our players had the ball in the corner basically wrestling with the oppo to get it out and both me and the fella who kicked me earlier turned to the ref and told him to make a call either way. He still didn't. fooking useless. Drawing 3-3 with not long left to play i bagged the winner top corner and celebrated right in front of the ref. Justice.

When i play tonight im gonna make a complaint about the ref cos he was so poor.

We finished 2nd in the national tournament a few months back. Was a long hard day, but it was really enjoyable.

Won 6-1 today after going 1-0 down straight from kick off. We just weren't switched on, even though it was a good finish from their lad.

They were a big bunch of physical chavs, who had no ability wahstsoever but to kick us. They had this one lad at the back ( to be fair, was their best player and was the only thing that was stopping us rattling 15 in), who fouled one of our players, fell over then started on him! I took a shot, knocked the bottle of water he had out of his hand (He'd been sent off by then lol ) and then threatened to knock me out too. Our most dangerous player got lumps kicked out of him, but got 5 well deserved goals for his troubles. I couldn't really get into the game, for me with the way the opposition played it took the whole enjoyment out of the game.

Still, we sit back at the top of the table, after the team who had a 3 point lead over us lost last week and drew today.

Had the same ref again, he was shit again. Had a quiet word with the organiser and its not the first complaint hes had about the ref, shock horror lol

Was awful tonight, suffered a bit from fringe blindness as well. Need the barnet trimmed fo realz. Set one up and but for there keeper i would have bagged at least one. Were shit otherwise.

I'd love to see the quality of the other Leisure Leagues, leagues in Leicester.

We won 5-0 last night. Keeping up our 100% record in Division 1! 2 more wins and we'll be a Premier League team.

In answer to Bert, I think the overall standard is going to be lower than at Loughbourgh or Leicester as they have Universitys so, sterotypically should have fitter, younger teams. A lot of the teams we've played this year at Whitwick are very defensive and generally just like to sit 5 men in front of the keeper. We've conceded 4 and scored 57 in our 9 games so far but I think we'll struggle more next year as teams will have a go at us.

I dunno about Hermitage but the standard of the Premier League in Ashby is very good I think. Lot of players playing in or just below the Senior league, and Hasting beat most of them 5-0 :giggle:
