dandannieldanok Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 To see the stewards panic was the best part of the night,to see 50-100 very young lads trying to get a better view of the pens from behind the goal NOT charge at the away fans sums up the sh*t stewards at the ground,God help them when dirty Leeds come down. Well I was sitting at the other end of the ground near the Kop and the charge certainly could have looked like a charge at the away fans, the stewards did the right thing.

Got a few airings at Crystal Palace a few seasons back as a special request from you along with the Gavin Ward song, if I remember rightly.
potter3 Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 Anyone who isn't old enough to have seen Iwan Roberts play for City or doesn't remember Ian Ormondroyd shouldn't be allowed to post on here.Or at least they should have their own section of the forum. What about if you were old enough but didn't?
The People's Hero Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 What about if you were old enough but didn't? I don't know - we'll have to throw it to the panel. (The panel is Nicky Mohan, Brian Carey and Tony James)
Corky Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 I don't know - we'll have to throw it to the panel.(The panel is Nicky Mohan, Brian Carey and Tony James) I could see him giving away a penalty (boom boom)
Joe. Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 The best song of the night was from one of the lads at the back - "Pearson, sort it out". Needless to say, nobody joined it. I laughed at him.
Guest Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 I agree, it was a bit like being at Real-Barca. cheers Fez
lildave3 Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 Well I was sitting at the other end of the ground near the Kop and the charge certainly could have looked like a charge at the away fans, the stewards did the right thing. Behave.
DB11 Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 I thought they were charging at the away fans. They were actually charging, not just walking over or w.e to watch the penalties.
Maybes Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 A1 was the best last night the atmosphere was well good and then when we went behind the goal was sik Oh my days.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 There was a lot of posturing and gesturing towards the Lincoln fans coming from the leaders of that group if they were just going to watch the penalties. It took a grand total of TWO hi-visibility jacket clad bods to make them turn tail - thank goodness, one of them got to within perhaps 50 yards of the away support. Who knows what could have happened? For a moment there was a real danger that the Lincoln fans could have been made to feel much better about themselves by being grimaced at by a spotty subnormal wearing too many man-made fibres. Baby squad? It wasn't even the Embryo squad
Guest Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 It gives the constabulary the perfect excuse to have 2,000 officers on duty on Satdeh, at a cost of £2.1m.
Fosse Boy Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 What a load of rubbish talking about young fans who sang there hearts out all game. Least we actually bothered to sing unlike some of you boring people. And good to people like me who moved closer to watch the pedos.Up the Blues Did they offer you sweets? What have your mum and dad told you about talking to strangers? But seriously, kids have to learn how to sing somewhere. Might be nicer if they knew some more original songs and didn't have REALLY ANNOYING voices, but that's kids for you I guess. Well I was sitting at the other end of the ground near the Kop and the charge certainly could have looked like a charge at the away fans, the stewards did the right thing. I was right next to the Kop too and it all looked perfectly innocent to me. Just some people wanting to be behind the goal for the penalties. And it's not as if the away fans would have been in any danger had the motive been more sinister for those invading the Lineker Stand (is it still called that? never sat there personally), there'd be too many obstacles to cross if some moronic Stone Island-clad twelve year olds fancied a pwopa nawty tear up in the away end.

I hope it isn't illegal to be in possession of a thick cheese and onion cob - I'd ask the club but they aren't replying to any emails at present.

Cheese is fine but PC Cockwand has reliably informed me that onion is an offensive weapon, and can lead to 20 years hard labour for possession. He is an expert witness, don't forget.

LcFcDEC Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 Name calling aint necassary kid. Nice one but i am no kid so shush and i wont name call haha
Fosse Boy Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 Yes well i know how to sing and my voice has broken you knob and i aint a kid Yeah, calm down, guess it was just your grammar that was giving me that impression... I'm on your side, there was nothing wrong with people heading behind the goal during the penalties, nor singing for ninety minutes in my opinion. It's just a stone cold fact that kids have annoying voices. Thankfully, you're not one, so sing your heart out I say...

lifted*fox Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 makes me laugh that a few people are 'boo hoo-ing' about the young lads that ran behind the goal for the penalties. honestly... there was NO threat the away support what-so-ever! a couple of YOUNG kids ran quite far across, but the majority stopped behind the goal and didn't venture any further. they they stood there & sang / waved their arms at the away fans until the penalties began. some people make it sound like they were pulling knives and frothing at the mouth. I must add, I wasn't one of the people that ran over, I was sat in the corner with my mate and my girlfriend. I didn't feel any need to complain about this 'rush'. In fact, I thought that the fact we had some fans behind the goal was POSITIVE. I like to make a bit of noise, not to the point where I'm singing 'left side, right side' all game, but fook it... fair play to those who want to. Noise from the HOME crowd is NEVER a bad thing. I can't imagine anything worse than watching the whole match in silence. stop bloody complaining. it's a football match in a stadium with lots of people... not a Sunday Mass at Church.
