davieG Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 The Football Association is to examine match-fixing allegations involving a Championship match sent to them by the Sunday Telegraph newspaper. Bookmakers reportedly detected a "massive movement" in bets in Asia in an unspecified Championship match at around half-time. As well as the FA, the Sunday Telegraph has sent a document to the Gambling Commission over the betting patterns. "We will consider any evidence brought to our attention," said the FA.
SamL Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 When I read this, I instantly thought of the Reading vs Watford match.
Lovejoy Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 If it's Derby, Cov or the Trees, that'd be excellent.
Austin Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 If it's Derby, Cov or the Trees, that'd be excellent. I second this
Koke Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 I bet it's Barnsley. I was thinking along those lines, too. - Haven't scored in a dozenz of games - 1-0 down at half time - Playing with 10 men against their Yorkshire fellas - Ending up winning 4-1 Something fishy about that, I reckon.
Head Honcho Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 If it's Derby, Cov or the Trees, that'd be excellent. Why would it?
Simi Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 My first thought was Stoke vs Leicester It would explain how Fryatt didn't score the 320 goals he no doubt deserved.
Lovejoy Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 Why would it? Because although I don't condone this sort of behaviour, if a team HAS done something naughty along the afore mentioned lines, I'd rather it be a team I dislike .
Koke Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 My first thought was Stoke vs LeicesterIt would explain how Fryatt didn't score the 320 goals he no doubt deserved. Don't start...

To be fair I plucked them at random but yeah I'll go with that.
