I think everyone's forgetting the real issue in this election. America has a new left-handed president, it's 8th, in fact.

We are taking over. First the US, next the world. Just you wait until 'normal' scissors are outlawed.

McCain is a lefty, too. :surrender:

The expectations are ridiculously high. He's not the messiah and he won't solve the world's problems.

Black Man Given Nation's Worst Job

Nothing will change.

So as not to get into specifics and start a political debate about a foreign country, I'll say that one of Obama's best qualities--and what should be a big factor in change--is his intellectualism. The current administration promotes anti-science and the Republican Party has promoted ignorance and distrust of so-called intellectual "élites" among its rank-and-file support.

Once the honeymoon period is over (6 months or 1 year), we'll all go back to slating the Americans for this, that and the other.
When we all get back to normal ridiculing America and it’s populace, I’ll be happy.

I'd rather you guys make silly comments about playing football with helmets and light beer than about a government that doesn't give its troops body armor as they continue to occupy Iraq and a president that can't even spell "light beer."

---

Let's get sentimental for a moment: When you saw footage and read stories about kids in places such as Kenya and Indonesia celebrating Obama's victory, did you think that the American people did more to help defeat terrorism in one day than George W. Bush and friends have in the past seven years?

I'd like to think that those people celebrating could have an influence on the world stage but somehow I doubt it!

The celebrations and more importantly the election result means nothing AQ.

Just because the most powerful man on the planet has Hussein as his middle name will not change anything as far as they are concerned.

lol as much as you may be right for the most part, there's only one reason the Kenyans were going the nuts - they think the giftbowl's coming. ;)

That's ridiculous - the Giftbowl should be played in North America, home of the league. This American approach to sport will only encourage our socher teams to start thinking that they too can play games around the world. You mark my words.

So very true, I remember those cvnt Sikhs that were celebrating the appointment of Manmohan Singh a turbaned Sikh as the PM of India, thinking they may finally get equality, justice and rights as Sikhs and autonomy of Punjab....................did they foook, infact Manmohan was very anti sikh, he did nothing for Sikhs at all, it just shows just cus he looks like a Sikh and call's himself one does not mean he will be a good one, same goes for Obama!!!!

Within 12 months - assassinated.

Do you know I couldn't help thinking that when he was on stage with his wife and daughters yesterday.

It would take a generation for the US to recover if this was ever to happen. Which actually makes him more of an AQ target then Bush ever was.

I doubt he's in any more danger then Bush was though.

"White" America, the bedsheets variety and the hyper-right, is very angry.

Two of its dumbest members have already had a pop, I'll not be surprised if someone else with a bit more in the way of smarts has a go.

:blink:Mail.

Sarah Palin did not know Africa was a continent, McCain aides have allegedly claimed.

New slurs against John McCain's former running mate emerged this week as the tattered Republican party nosedived into civil war and the divide between McCain and Palin was further exposed.

A Fox News anchor claimed McCain aides told him of Mrs Palin's ignorance on Africa - and that she did not know what countries were in North America.

Is there any way I can subscribe?

Why yes, I believe you can get it as part of Sky subscriptions - or the one that covers Europe anyhoo.

It is also available in most hotels and homes throughout South and Central America if they have a dish. You may need to move homes.

If I had a dollar for every time a black person has told me, "There's no way we can have a black president, he'll get killed on his first day," over the last year, Barack Obama would raise my taxes.

Well, actually, I'd probably only be about 25 bucks richer. But being President of the United States makes you the world's top target anyway. John Hinckley came very close to killing Ronald Reagan because he was pissed off that he couldn't get a date with Jodie Foster. Chicks dig psycho stalker failed-assassins.
