pretty much self explanatory, just a personal interest survey

would you like to see an MKD V AFCW tie and if so who would you back to win (already have a suspicion of the answer to this but oh well)

and if anyone decides to go overboard on the thread and just tirade abuse can i point out that i do know quite alot about the subject and how AFCW aren't quite as rosy a lot as they seem

Who did you suport before Mk Dons?

And yes i would like to see it with AFC winning.

well, tough question as i didn't really follow football ( i was a young recluse back then ) but the team i liked most of all was wimbledon, i guess because they gave two fingers to the establishment on the way up

so now after 5 years from the age of twelve i have spent basically my entire football watching career supporting MK

as a 'fan' of wimbledon previously i wish AFC well but due to my supporter status of MK i would of course wish them to win

MK Dons are scum and always will be. AFC all the way.

:appl:

I can't understand how any fans of the previous Wimbledon would want to 'support' Franchise. It's unjustifiable as far as I'm concerned.

because some people don't like to be with the fans that 'abandoned' the club when it needed them most, they also do not like AFC's claim of being wimbledon, AFC were founded when wimbledon were still playing in selhurst, not only that but AFC do not even represent the location in their name, they play in kingston, where they are close to forcing kingstonian out of their ground.

you must remember that football is a form of entertainment that people go to watch, you can't say it is unjustifiable to go and watch football because of the way the club came about, if everyone was like this then tesco's would go out of business

thank you for helping me gauge the feeling everyone and if you have an questions about relocating a business or how to franchise something don't be afraid to ask

They 'abandoned' them after they we're told they were moving 60+ miles away with a new name..pretty good reason if you ask me.

Yes they we're still playing at selhurst but started the new wimbledon after news had already come out about the move.

Yes they play in kingston, AFC now Play just 5 miles away from there original stadium plough lane MK Dons play 61 miles away from plough lane.

BTW Football isnt tesco's. And your comments worry me about the future of football and are one of the reasons the game is being ripped from the fans, are you all for Game 39???

Couldn't've put it better myself. I for one cannot wait until AFC leapfrog Franchise in the pyramid system. No city or town should have the divine right to a league team just because of its population size. If Wankleman wanted a team in MK so badly, he should've invested in local non-league sides and worked his way up through the divisions, the same way every other club in England has to.

but MK scum reperesent everything that's wrong with the commercialisation of modern football so how the fook does that work?

Was listening to 606 on saturday night, and there was a bloke on there who had supported Wimbledon since the days of them being in the southern league (70's)?...........anyway he was saying there's still a lot of bad blood between the two sides and hoped they didn't get paired in the cup.

I should think if they did then AFC fans would most likely trash Franchise's stadium, and you know what, I wouldn't blame them.

If Nottingham Forest played MK Dons I would want Forest to win! Purely because they are a legitimate team, who have their reputation based upon the success of their play rather than stealing another teams success and position.

Come on AFC replace these MK bastards

On a more positive MK note I hope that the biggest and best side in MK who were trying the right way to enter the league all the best of luck as they are going about their business the right footballing way and entering the league via their own merits.

firstly, the reason i stayed with MK is because i went to see a game there and thoroughly enjoyed it, which is what football is for, entertainment

the reason i likened football to tesco's is because that is how football has to survive now, with credit problems and the smaller clubs being affected by the gap up at the top of the pyramid it is really do or die

mk city in the 80's were MK's most successful football team but were financially crippled by financial involvement of WFC until they finally went bust in 1984(?)

AFC fans would not trash the stadium as i believe that they would not travel to the stadium at all or give us any money

yes there is a lot of bad blood between fans but mainly coming from the AFC side, it is only a couple of people from the MK side that have a real dislike for AFC, generally MK wish AFC well and when i met two very nice AFC fans on the way to leyton orient last night i had a nice chat about it and wished them well at the end.

as to franchise, i could step in and tell you that every football club in the country that charges entry is a franchise

I guess theres no getting through to some people.

What? So the answer is to steal clubs from their local communities and move them dozens of miles away purely because of commercial demand?

Think the damages they'd do would make up for the fact that they were helping to fund Wankleman's coke habit, if I was in their position I'd go absolutely mental.

With good reason, you stole their fcuking club!

as to franchise, i could step in and tell you that every football club in the country that charges entry is a franchise

You're taking the term completely out of context in order to justify the unjustifiable, bravo.

you really don't get it do you, football IS a purely commercial business now, without the attendance or viewing it is nothing, i'm sure that without the attendances you and leeds have you would not be favourites to win the division, it also wasn't theft, it was a last resort in moving and milton keynes was the nearest offer, you must remember the headline of the 'dublin dons'

as to the damages they did, your comment is completely unrelated, you make up the completely untrue and libelious comment about winkelman and say that WFC killing MK City is completely okay, which is hypocritical as MK City was enjoyment for a few thousand people but it was taken away from them by people from another area, but in our case we didn't get another football club, people i know went absolutely mental when MK City was 'murdered' by WFC, it was a cold calculating move to aid the financial situation of WFC with no care of what it did to damage anyone else.

stole the club? i have already commented on the move being last minute but when it arrived here people were always going to go, i reckon alot of the older people that hold season tickets went to see MK City and have no bad conscience over the move, others of us feel guilty about what we did but we did not steal anything, we simply offered a deal to save the jobs at the club and help them to continue to practise, they took it, alot of the blame lies with hamman and the norwegians AND merton borough council as well as us.

franchise means the same wherever it is placed as it has a simple dictionary definition, people just thought 'hey thats like in america, what do they buy? the franchise? ooh mk are a franchise' every team in the football league is a franchise and that is that

now then, can we get back to the simple debate i asked for, would you or would you not like to see the match and who would you like to win, and this is without comments such as 'scum' or other things, if i can be courteous having to live with comments like this from every angle and whatever i say being wrong then you can surely refrain from using the words 'scum' towards me
