Oakley isn't in the 16, Mattock dropped, Powell at left back and Berner center midfield...

Martin

Hobbs

Kisnorbo

Tunchev

Powell

Gradel

King

Berner

Dyer

Fryatt

Howard

Subs: Henderson, Morrison, Mattock, Hayles, Adams

Pearson CAN surprise!! I'm assuming Powell was given a rest against Northampton then. As for Oakley out of the 16....

Intriguing, glad Powell's back in and it will be interesting to see how Berner plays, we definitely need a different input in central midfield.

Berner will sit and King get forward beyond the front two.

Knock on Saturday, according to RL

Oh, didn't know that

Let's hope Berner does ok in the middle then. We're vulnerable enough in the middle as it is...

With Oakley out, and Brighton being a shit outfit, I would have thought, this would a good opportunity to play Adams and see how it goes.

Oh lets give Milan more moneh then shall we?

When will the club give something good back to us? All they do is have another scheme to get mine & your money. I bet they will get the stewards to pick us up by the ankles and shake us next home match?

Hopefully Berner will play a defensive midfielder role allowing King to experiment.

I agree ! Maybe a chance from the bench at some stage if either King or Berner get a knock.

Hope it works out differently but I cannot see any way tonight's team addresses our problems unless, as has been pointed out, King can get forward more.

We cannot even naturally go to a 4-5-1. Sounds like a grim experience for our fans. Howard being skipper puts two fingers up to any critics.

Or maybe 532

with Berner at RB :dunno:

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson makes two changes for this evening's League One showdown with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Withdean Stadium.

Chris Powell and Bruno Berner replace Joe Mattock and stand-in captain Matt Oakley respectively.

Left-back Mattock drops to the bench whilst Oakley misses out all together through injury.

Otherwise, Pearson, whose side are unbeaten in eight matches, keeps faith with the same players who started Saturday's goalless draw with Northampton Town at the Walkers Stadium.

Steve Howard is handed the captain's armband for the encounter. For the Seagulls, Robbie Savage plays against his former club whilst midfielder Bradley Johnson, only signed on loan from Leeds United earlier today, is thrown straight into the starting XI by manager Micky Adams.

City: Martin, Hobbs, Kisnorbo, Tunchev, Powell, Gradel, King A, Berner, Dyer, Howard ©, Fryatt. Subs: Henderson, Morrison, Adams, Hayles, Mattock.

Albion: Sullivan, Whing, Thomson ©, McLeod, Richards, Hawkins, Virgo, Elphick, Johnson, Anyinsah, Savage. Subs: El-Abd, Cox, Thornton, Livermore, Fraser.

Referee: Keith Hill
