Daggers Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 As far as I know, Kevin Keegan* has no sons, just daughters. It is now I who listens to you. Kevin Keegan
Koke Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I agree with RowlattsFox. Some of you needs to get a bit of perspective.
Thracian Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I never thought I'd be deflecting criticism from Blanderson but isn't it Steve Pumfrey's article. If I've missed something my apologies. If not, second thoughts, foget what I said and carry on anyway! Blanderson probably had something to do with it if only supplying the phone number, or the idea...
Koke Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Hume was a decent player for us. Always gave us 100%. Yes, he had his shortcomings and yes he acted like a spoilt brat sometimes, but I seriously cannot understand the abuse he's getting.

Maybe it comes down to whether you chanted Huuuume or not? Also, when relationships end some people become really venal as a way of dealing with the rejection. In homo-erotic terms the insulting of Hume makes a lot of sense

Daggers Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 You should invent a "philia" for it. There's very little I haven't already done that for...and almost all that haven't have 'heating elements' in common.
Father Ted Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Thanks for your input Iain, it's greatly received. Jog on you twat. Why don't you jog on! He's still respected by some you know!
lcfc_jme Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Why don't you jog on! He's still respected by some you know! Yeah, those who now view Fryatt as God. Or something like that.

Simi Posted 30 October 2008 Author Posted 30 October 2008 Why don't you jog on! He's still respected by some you know! Respect him all you like, I don't care. I see no reason why he needs to make comment about our club, which is why I don't care for this article.

Moreover, you are fully entitled to make comment on him - whether he is respected by others or not. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuume!

If you put it like that then, you should see no reason to see why Muzzy, Heskey or Walshy need to comment about our club.
Maybes Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Thanks for your input Iain. Not that I'm bothered like.
Simi Posted 30 October 2008 Author Posted 30 October 2008 If you put it like that then, you should see no reason to see why Muzzy, Heskey or Walshy need to comment about our club. All those players achieved something at this club and were involved in winning teams. Hume was involved in our relegation side and one of the worst sides we've ever laid eyes on.
Father Ted Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 All those players achieved something at this club and were involved in winning teams.Hume was involved in our relegation side and one of the worst sides we've ever laid eyes on. Hume was also our top scorer for 3 consecutive seasons and without his goals we would have been relegated a couple of years ago. He always gave 100% and that's why he gained hero status at City.

He always gave 100% and that's why he gained hero status at City. And when the going got tough, he left. I don't think he ever had hero status really. He never achieved anything with us, therefore he didn't deserve it.

Running around a lot does not make you a hero. I am thankful for the goals he scored, but the hero status he managed to get for running around was a little much in my opinion.
Koke Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Not the most talented, but he always gave his all for the cause. I can't fault his effort. He's one of the few who we can say pulled their weight in the past seasons. Most were useless, but he did his part. I'm not a fan of him, but I don't hate him either.

He always gave 100% and that's why he gained hero status at City. Top scorer with 11 goals a season or something similar. Not really saying an awful lot, is it? I will remember Hume not for his sensational goal-scoring record, more for his headless chicken antics and being involved in the worst Leicester City side I've ever watched.
Koke Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I don't know about you lot, but I certainly would not boo him next time we face the dingles.

Ok, maybe not a hero - maybe that's one step too far but a fans favourite for sure. That's why people get on the backs of the likes of Howard, Berbatov, etc at times but will never get on the back of a Tevez or Hume because they will never give up and keep fighting til the end. That is a TRUE player and what makes a hero. Steve Walsh, Elliott, Muzzy, they always gave their best and always succeeded as did Hume. Anyway, who's going to stop him from talking about his old club. The club that cherished him and was the best of a bad bunch for 2/3 years but he still stuck with us. And when the going got tough, he left. I don't think he ever had hero status really. He never achieved anything with us, therefore he didn't deserve it. No, he left because Leicester couldn't really reject an offer of £1.2 million, it's a lot of money. So, tell me, when everyone was shouting HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUME - you never said anything?
