Wycombe Fox Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 It could all change again after the diffuser appeal hearing on April 14th. If Brawn, Williams and Toyota are disqualified, the result would be; 1. Alonso (Renault) 2. Buemi (Torro Rosso) 3. Bourdais (Torro Rosso) 4. Sutil (Force India) 5. Heidfeld (BMW Sauber) 6. Fisichella (Force India) 7. Webber (Red Bull) 8. Vettel (Red Bull)
hairy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Makes you realise that if Hamilton drove a red coloured car then he would have been promoted to first

Sir Fynwy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Why don't they just pick the places out of a hat, obviously a different red hat with only two cars in it for 1st and 2nd with the others in the main hat. F1 continues to bring sport into disrepute and only WWE comes close to the amount of match fixing.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 That news made my day! :D Hamilnob revealed as the arrogant, lying, twattish cheating bastard he is! Good times, I love the FIA!
Alexikokopops Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 That news made my day! :D Hamilnob revealed as the arrogant, lying, twattish cheating bastard he is! Good times, I love the FIA! He isn't if you actually read the article: [McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh] added: "There is no implication that Lewis lied to the stewards. "As I understand there is a belief that the team was not explicit enough in the content of the radio communications to the stewards. "What they believe is that the omission of the information about the radio communication between the team was withheld and that is misleading."

I was gutted when that runt got himself up to third, and the papers all focused on him rather than Button's superb drive, and they didnt even mention Trulli, who started BEHIND Hamilton when the race began. Thankfully, the BBC are not butt-raping him like ITV were for the last 2 years anyway, which will probably lower my hostility to him. For now, Promotion to the CCC and Hamilton failing.... 2009 cant get much better

Mainly page after page of "WHAT A STORY!!!!! BUTTON DIDN'T KNOW IF HE'D HAVE A JOB BUT THEN HE WINS THE RACE". I don't think I saw a single story about Hamilton.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Sun... monday. chief sports writer... jizzing himself over hamilton, and bellittling buttons. anyway, forget that... STEWARDS DECISION & TEAM RADIO

STEWARDS DECISION & TEAM RADIO Your reading the Sun, what else do you expect? A blind retarded 6 year old girl from a tribe in the deepest part of the amazonian rainforest dictating the story to a chimp infected with cat aids could write a better story

GLC Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 McLaren & Hamilton's convo from this incident Sounds like he didn't know what to do,
StanSP Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 McLaren & Hamilton's convo from this incident If that is true, and I don't see why it wouldn't be, it seems like the team were actually trying to do things by the book. I don't actually know the specific technical rules regarding overtaking and then letting people pass you again, but seems like Mclaren tried to do their best to stick by the rules.

Yeah, but then they didn't give all the information (transcripts of radio conversations) to the stewards so that's why they've been done.
lildave3 Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 If that's what was said, what's the problem. Quite confused. Why the hell has he been taken out of equasion altogether, and not just dropped back to fourth. Ridiculous.

Jimmy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 if Charlie Whiting had bothered confirming things, as is his job at GP's, then all of this could of been avoided
Asha Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Frustrating. It would be nice to watch the finish of a race and know that the result will still be the same a few days later.
Head Honcho Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 ............but does the points thing really matter to Hamilton now? If he wins more races then the other drivers then he wins the championship! If it's a tie then it will be down to the most 2nd place finishes and then 3rd place finishes. Won't it? I doubt the amount of 3rd place finishes will matter too much.

That rule comes into effect next season. This season, winner of championship is still based on points

They've delayed the 'gold medal' scoring system for a year, champion will be the driver with most points, not necessarily most wins. Do keep up, the rules only change every 5 minutes
