A shot from a while ago, but just re-edited it a little. May have to go back here again. Gorgeous part of the country.

Monsal Dale, Derbyshire Peak District.

Also this one I took on the A607 (near Kirby Bellars) heading towards Melton Mowbray from Syston a couple of days ago. Seen the old building hundreds of times so thought I'd stop and take some shots of it.

Yep using the AV setting and If I recall, around F18 Aperture and ISO 100. :) And held very steady as I hadn't a tripod. Ha

Aye, I often find that you can get away with holding a camera even up to 1 sec, or even more if you can lean on something. Of course, a tripod (and a remote shutter clicker - can't think of it's proper name - if you want ultra-steady) are desirable :)

Shutter release cable? Haha. Yep I do love doing the water shots like that. I need to get a neutral density filter really for the daytime blurry cloud/water shots.

Took this yesterday at Cannock Chase. Went with a mate and tried out his 200-500mm Tamron lens on his Sony A230 camera. Was a fair distance away and in a car from the window when taking it. I like and want this lens now! Haha

It was scratching its head on the branch for ages.

A few from Watermead in Thurmaston last night as the sun was setting. :)

The last one with the purple tinge to it, I tried out a UV filter I recently got. Kinda like it. It was a lot stronger when taken though, so brought the Hue down a bit.

Just run out of black ink or else I would have asked permission to print one of those off.

One of the people I see Tuesday mornings is the Photography editor of Citezens Eye and he would appreciate your work. He's been doing photography for quite a few years now. Name easy to remember Andy Williams (not the crooner)

I'll see if I can get the Wifi connection when I'm there tomorrow and load Foxestalk up.

Not sure which is my favourite. I like the red/purple one. Unusual colours. Did you use colour filters?

Yeah for that one i used a UV filter. First time I've tried one. Quite liked the turnout. Can see bigger versions on this link. :)

Wonderful. I have a link to that site on my blog. Not visited it for a while but you post on here anyway.

Cheers Ken. Yep I post on here too, when I remember. Just that with the other site you can see the bigger versions.

Posting this for a good friend of mine and a very talented photographer. All in aid of a great cause. It is to raise funds for children's charity JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Trying to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. Go to

the link to purchase tickets for the charity photoshoot day at Rufford Abbey Country Park in Nottinghamshire, or contact

Rob Ferrol for any info you need. You don't have to be a professional photographer or anything. Doesn't matter what level you're at.

Nice angle on it and crisp image.

Thanks Mikey, I was trying out my new wide angle lens. I got down quite low at the bottom of the rocks to try and show the harsh terrane. It's a beautiful view from up there, a bit windy though lol
