A 3D pavement artist is in Leicester this week. They were setting up today at the Clock Tower. Name Beebie? I think There were a few cameras being set up around the tent. Should be interesting to see some photos of the finished result.

Cheers mate. Onl editing I did was sharpen it slightly and bring the Hue up for a bit more colour. Obviously the watermark too :P

I thought I was good at taking photographs, but Mikey T, some of yours are superb. Great colour and some good angles.

Thank you mate. Appreciate it. Although some of the shots above, I couldn't have got into an other positions to take them, due to obstacles in the way. lol

Is this where they did the warm-up for the Dambusters raid? And probably filmed that Carling Black Label ad?

It is indeed. :)

I went to Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset last year. They tested the bouncing bombs there as well. A few years ago they dredged one up from the lagoon and put it on display.

Looked like some of the swans were trying to hatch it. Would have made an amusing pic.

You might want to rethink your watermarks, Mikey :D

That is actually illegal. It's a registered copyrighted watermark/image. I could now sue you.:P

This aerial view of an alien landscape was taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter near Mars’ North Pole. The dark streaks on the northern Martian dunes are the result of avalanches, caused by the seasonal melting of carbon dioxide ice. The dunes are made of dark basalt sand, covered with a thin layer of pinkish iron oxide dust. When the dry ice melts, the sand beneath becomes dislodged causing it to flow down the side of the dunes, creating the tendril-like effect. Just left of centre you can see a cloud of iron oxide thrown up by one of the Martian avalanches.

Advise please.

My son flies a light aircraft.

I'd like to take shots from the plane of churches and seascapes below. I can use a camera but not anything complicated. I want a see and shoot type camera. It'd have to be second hand because I can't afford anything new and decent. what can you guys/girls suggest and what particular specifications should I be looking out for. For example what are the 3 or 4 most important criteria.

Thanks
