Fryatt took all his goals very well especially the 1st, i think after that hat trick we need to get his contract sorted. I knew Dag n Red would be tough after they won 6-1 last week. Looking forward to the draw Sunday 2.15 i think on ITV.

Tunchev must have been given a rocked after a careless 1st half, better after the break, Dyer was closely marked but did little to counter the attention, Adams was off the pace and Berner and King were clearly missing the support the get from Oakley. Fairly entertaining in an end to end sort of way, quite enjoyable as I was not that bothered by the result.

lifted*fox Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Bloody hell it was cold out there tonight. Good win. Great effort by Matty, 3 goals well deserved. Dag & Red played VERY well, and imo, played better football than some of the league one opposition i've seen this season. We made it hard work for ourselves in the second half, played most of it out in our own half. Mattock was fooking useless (except for his one shot, which was pretty good), and our defense fell asleep a couple of times, especially for their first goal. I think Oakley was missed, Howard is NOT a captain, he plays his own game, but doesn't command the rest of the team. Still people in the crowd on Howard's back, but he played well, won 90% in the air. New lad from Wolves... didn't really see much of him, but it was a difficult game for him to come in and make an impact. Anyway, well done boys, another win under the belt.

I was watching it online so it may have been the dodgy stream made us look like we were moving a little quicker

Remember when we beat Spurs 3-2 then went and lost 1-0 in last minute to Southampton Its got to be a Prem club, Villa away was good last season id take them. Would prefer a home game, the last Prem team at home we had was Fulham i think and that was a few seasons ago. TBH i want a top Prem club home or away, or a shitty team at home to get us into the 4th round.

We were awful in general. We started as if we couldn't give a toss. We were second to the ball for great portions of the game and they gave us a lesson in movement until they started running our of energy. Matty Fryatt was our one shining light. For me he scored a perfect 10 with his match-winning hat-trick his follow-up for a tap-in that might have given him four but for an offside decision and his timely demonstration of the predator's art. Eighteens goals three weeks before Christmas is some pace to set and today I saw him as a full three points or more above any other player apart from goalkeeper Martin. The goals apart Leicester were not a pretty sight. Dagenham really worked on their match plan, aided I read by input from Rob Kelly and also no doubt from Andy King's former Academy team central midfield partner Tom Tejan-Sie. Cos Kingy was never given time and space so, particularly in the absence of Oakley, City found it so hard to move the ball forward with any great purpose. It didn't help that our defence decided to take the afternoon off until around 4.00 o'clock-ish. It was schoolboy stuff at times. But in the Cup there is only one thing matters in the end - the result. And Fryatt got that virtually single handed. I think he even crossed the ball for the handball that gave him his penalty but I'll stand correcting.
