Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 As we can't keep a clean sheet for love nor money these days I'm going...... 2-0 City Fryatt and Howard
Corky Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Do we have to have one foe EVERY fcuking game???? It's usually the opposition (or in certain supporters' cases *you*, Howard )
Thracian Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 3-1 win. It would be nice to return a clean sheet. We've conceded in each of our last four games - our worst run of the season - and suddenly seem uncharacteristically vulnerable. A can see why too. But while Southend might therefore fancy themselves to score their own defensive record doesn't suggest they'll keep us out. Much depends on our approach once we get ahead. For me, we've become more cautious. We no longer seem to want three or four goals but seem content to score twice and then hold out. In fact we've scored two goals seven times in the last 11 matches and haven't scored more even once. By contrast, in our first 13 matches we scored two goals only twice and more than two goals five times. Being cautious is not a philosophy I understand, and ven less so considering where our strengths lie. But we're due another three goals and I see no reason we shouldn't get them if we set out to.
Sods Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 I think weve won one of our last 15 early kick offs. Hate them.
Corky Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 I think weve won one of our last 15 early kick offs.Hate them. Was the last one against Sunderland in the Premiership in 2001/02?

Corky Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Remember it vividly. I was sat right behind the goal where Akinbiyi scored. You could feel the relief of everyone around the ground.
RowlattsFox Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Not sure about this, I can see a frustrating draw on the cards.
