davieG Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 didnt the chairman say give him time? Yes but that's all relative, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 month, 1 year it's all time, he obviously meant less than 6 months
Jimmy2Drags Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 didnt the chairman say give him time? Does that count as a 'vote of confidence'?
GLC Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Yes but that's all relative, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 month, 1 year it's all time, he obviously meant less than 6 months bloody chairmen!
Head Honcho Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 RACISTS Yes another achievement for Ince. First English black manager to be sacked by a premiership club!
lildave3 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Well he's not had the best of starts to say the least. Wrong option originally.
Tilley Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Took the step up far too quick & has paid for it. Two or three season back in the lower leagues will do him the world of good.
Zingari Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 keane and ince seem to be living parallel lives
Babylon Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 The moral of the story is never leave MK Dons when a "bigger" club comes calling.... cough Allen cough.
Number 6 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Tried to step up too early and was a silly choice for him imo. Maybe he could have gone to a Championship club had they come in for him but certainly nothing higher. Might set him back a bit.
C-man Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 It won't save them. Blackburn are going down. Can't say I feel sorry for him.
Jon the Hat Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 No surprise, and with 6 defeats in a row who can blame them. Souness or Allardyce I to come in would have thought.
Babylon Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Keith Andrews Exactly... not forgetting fowler!! Ridiculous really.
Thracian Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Should have built his managerial career on rock after his initial successes. He was simply tempted into taking too big a step too soon and I suppose most of us would have done the same. Ince could have carried on at MK Dons with his own squad evolving in its own natural time why he got pratical experiences of all the potential pitfalls while having a cushion of credibility to give him some protection. Now he knows he's not superman perhaps he'll learn his trade a bit more thoroughly before seeking to go from apprentice to master craftsman in one difficult leap.
Milky Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Considering how well MK Dons are doing in our league, i'm starting to question how well he actually did with them in league 2. Perhaps that's being harsh on him.
Suffolk_fox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Never liked him. Anyone who calls himself "The Guv'nor" at every new club he went to is a cock.
ousefox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 I wonder what sort of club would come after him now?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Not suited for the job, just about eveyone knew that, but six months? Pathetic lack of loyalty form the Blackburn board, especially considering how tight the bottom half of the table is. Surely he knew what needed strengthening and could've bought in January. Instead they'll bring in a manager with no feel for the squad over a crucial period, who'll probably end up panic buying in the window.

Not sure you'd be saying the same if it was Leicester we were talking about!!! They've given him enough time to prove himself and given themselves enough time to get out of trouble. Seems like a good approach to me.
davieG Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 I wonder what sort of club would come after him now? A desperate, panicky one, there's plenty of them.
