Tilley Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Very impressed, much better than IE, can't believe I didn't download it before.
Suffolk_fox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Do people still use IE?? "Firefox sake"......
dandannieldanok Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 This has the potential to cause massive problems for schools and colleges that run their whole networks with internet explorer. I doubt it will however, probably a mountain out of a molehill.
DB11 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Good job I use FireFox then :) Though everyone else on the computer uses IE

lildave3 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 It's shit dave, that's what! It works. What does Firefox offer that's so amazing?
Raj Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 It works. What does Firefox offer that's so amazing? YEAH! Normal people use IE. Just Geeks use different ones...just to be ....er....different!! er....should we REALLY NOT use IE??
Monk Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 I find IE very slow compared with firefox, and for me it crashes too often. Firefox almost never crashes and runs really smoothly. I don't use it just because it's different. My laptop is getting kinda old these days and it makes quite a difference.
Brainy Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 IE's fine for me. Except for tonight because it's slow, but i'll blame my laptop for that.
potter3 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 It works. What does Firefox offer that's so amazing? It's hand in marriage. It is female by the way ben.
Daggers Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 er....should we REALLY NOT use IE?? No. There you go, in a nutshell.
Raj Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 No.There you go, in a nutshell. Right. Ive got Windows Vista with IE running on the laptop. If i use Firefox will it all be okay? Also, how best am i to 'get rid' of IE,if at all i should? Cheers for the help in advance!
The Stig Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 I saw this thread tonight and decided to download FF. I have found it a lot quicker tonight, whether it's just coincidence or not remains to be seen.
Daggers Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Right.Ive got Windows Vista with IE running on the laptop. If i use Firefox will it all be okay? Also, how best am i to 'get rid' of IE,if at all i should? Cheers for the help in advance! Don't get rid of IE mate - just download Firefox from HERE It's not perfect - just safer to use, especially for the seedy sites you probably frequent
Raj Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Don't get rid of IE mate - just download Firefox from HEREIt's not perfect - just safer to use, especially for the seedy sites you probably frequent Right. Im gonna do it. I'll do it tomorrow and will report back! Cheers!
ozleicester Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 It works. What does Firefox offer that's so amazing? ie = walking down the street alone at midnight, naked, with a large neon sign flashing over head that says..."**** me and take everything i have". ffox = walking down the same street, same time but with clothes on and a couple of mates. You may not actually be completely safe (especially depending on your mates) but you feel a whole lot better.

Or have they actually unbundled it from the core of the OS?
