Daggers Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 I'd love to know what is going on with Porter - I never really cared about other players falling out of favour in seasons gone by, but this lad is different. Apparently rated by the squad and others within the game (Davies' interview when he arrived here) and of proven ability against top flight teams; the "attitude" rumour has been roundly debunked and he's never been linked with drug or pussy scandals. Regardless of individual opinion about his potential, he is more than able to cope at this level. So, what gives? Has he caught Hammond's ankle?

Where he apparently vanished for a few days, nobody knowing where he was. Maybe there as things going on we know nothing about, maybe he has burnt his bridges? I think Pearson has proved he should be trusted, he certainly isn't shy in giving people a go, like king.

Ric Flair Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Is a bit of a shame, I rated him that first season he made his debut, he was probably the brightest performer in the first half of that season, but since then it's gone downhill for the lad. Chelsea aside, I don't recall a performance from him that is worthy of Professional football. Hope he can regain his form, surely a loan spell would benefit him? Must be the only fringe player to not be sent out on loan, questions need to be asked why.
The People's Hero Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 What Ric said. At Chelsea he looked a different class, but otherwise he's rarely looked like a professional footballer, often looking horribly out of his depth.
Cal Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 I thought you were implying knowitall is actually Levi Porter from the title
samlcfc Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 I thought you were implying knowitall is actually Levi Porter from the title a revelation
breadandcheese Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 I heard the lad's suffering from depression, which is a great shame. Admittedly, I'd like Knowitall to confirm as I wouldn't trust my source 100%.
Flynny Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 If it is something like that then perhaps Pearson is being kind not playing him? If he's got the ability then we'll probably keep him around until he can cope. It is one of the few things that explains whats going on at all. I thought you were a confirmed knowitall skeptic Daggers? Or have I missed irony/too many months here?

I think Daggers had to concede that knowitall, did indeed knowquiteabit about things that were soon to happen at Leicester that we all didn't.

Lillehamring Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Fairy muff, still out the loop a bit. you mean drunk?

Ric - it's an old argument, but you could say that about EVERYONE under previous managers...and yet none of others produced any virtuoso performances which Levi produced from his locker. He looked more than adequate pre-season and then *poof!* vanished from the radar. If it is something like that then perhaps Pearson is being kind not playing him? Or have I missed irony/too many months here? knowitall has long since proved beyond doubt that he/she/it is the only one on the forum who has anything approaching a real knowledge of the internal workings of the club...hence me voting for knowitall and not taking the piss for ages not nor nothing.
Babylon Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 the only one on the forum Be fair... I've had a little bit.
Nath. Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 I'd like to know why he has'nt been given a chance. He looked a class apart in pre-season. Remmeber how well he played against Birmingham in pre-season?

It is odd, it was obvious from his first season that he has some ability but there is definitely more than meets the eye as to why he's not being given a chance either here or on loan somewhere.

He is 100% fit and turns up for training like all the others.

knowitall Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 So, he's going on loan then? Ermmmmmmmmmm he is not one of the top names Leicester are trying to push out on loan.
Kilworthfox Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Ermmmmmmmmmm he is not one of the top names Leicester are trying to push out on loan. Is that because he is not a high earner?
Candidcamera Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 Porter can win his place. I rate him highly and he should press for a place in the new year. Pleased he is over his injury. All the best for Weso and hope he returns in the new year.
keithweller Posted 17 December 2008 Posted 17 December 2008 definately think a spell out on loan is needed here. he was brilliant against hull a couple of seasons back, and then against fulham and later against chelsea. real shame, as a very promising winger..and a decent lad as well.
