purpleronnie Posted 20 December 2008 Posted 20 December 2008 TBH I dont think that many managers would have saved us from a similar fate, everything looks good top of the league, but its a league lower, I think holloway would be doing pretty good with leicester in the 3rd division. Why he's suddenly a twat when before he was funny and entertaining.

He said .. take a chill pill or have a sandwich. You don't want to hear that rubbish. I will always hate Holloway more then Wise, Mcghee and Shearer.

Granted, Holloway did appear to be overly concerned with his media image, and as the man who took us down to the lowest point in our history he's bound to come in for some stick. That said, I doubt many managers would have got us out of the rut we were in.

Darkzzz_ Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Yeah, he is a nice chap. It didn't work out for him here and I think his managerial ability is very limited. I don't even place him in my top ten hates of football. It simply didn't work out for him here and he knows how badly he fooked up.

I think he could have kept us up, but he was too negative. 42 goals throughout the season tells its own story, and I doubt we'd be in this position with him in charge. Pearson has signed good players who fit into a team, Holloway couldn't and didn't last season so I don't think it would've changed.
