I can't find anything on the beeb website
Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 This is of subject, but this is exactly why I don't want someone like Steve Walsh as our manager (When people have suggested it in the past, and hopefully it won't be needed in the near future, but if it suggested in the future). Gary McAllister was a Leeds legend he has now done quite abit of harm to him legend reputation. (Having said that I did want Simon Grayson to come here in the summer ) It is worrying about the new manager/impress potential watching manager effect on a team, but if we focus on the game and play at the top of our game why should it be any different from our point of view?! Is this gen? I can't find anything on the beeb website It is genuine, I didn't know until this was posted. http://www.leedsunited.com/page/LatestNews...1495600,00.html
AjcW Posted 21 December 2008 Author Posted 21 December 2008 sorry i didnt know how to put the link.... just went on the leeds site to see there recent results and stumbled accross it.

Lillehamring Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 oh dear... where is hewittinspain when you need him?
somebum Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Crazy decision by dirty Leeds in my opinion, the chairman was only saying before the last game that it was the players who were at fault. Doesn't make much sense to me as Leeds don't have any money and they wont be able to get a man better than Mac to do the job. Stupidity but only what you come to expect from a dirty slum side like Leeds
AjcW Posted 21 December 2008 Author Posted 21 December 2008 Also theres not that much availible in terms of decent managers willing to manage in league 1 at the moment. i mean look at hollowhead he didnt even make the shortlist for a league 2 job the other week. and they said hed applied, cant remember the team.

somebum Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 So you're not a fan then? Never have liked Leeds. Probably after Howard Wilkinson bored everybody to death winning last ever title of Div 1. Also theres not that much availible in terms of decent managers willing to manage in league 1 at the moment. i mean look at hollowhead he didnt even make the shortlist for a league 2 job the other week. and they said hed applied, cant remember the team. Good point, I never knew he had applied?
Darkzzz_ Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I like Mac. I am glad he is out of the hell hole. He deserves better. Looking forward to boxing day, But I hate playing teams without a manager.
Simi Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 No doubt we'll see some sort of reaction. But no worries, Howard will bag in the last minute to win it for us and you will then see me serving a three year banning order for celebrating on the pitch.
Daggers Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Gary McAllister was a Leeds legend he has now done quite abit of harm to him legend reputation. Gary Mac is a Leicester legend...and now all the more so for the mess he made of Leeds!
dandannieldanok Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 When we last played them at Elland Road in the championship they were without a manager weren't they? We won then.
Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Gary Mac is a Leicester legend...and now all the more so for the mess he made of Leeds! Correct, and as you said he is even more of a legend now in our eyes, not so much in Leeds eyes, of which I was comparing if Walshie ever took over at Leicester and fell flat on his face, but lets not go over this again, I've had enough of new managerial appoint discussions involving Leicester City over the last few years, and hopefully we won't need to discuss it for years to come!
Ultra Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 When we last played them at Elland Road in the championship they were without a manager weren't they? We won then. Indeed. Let's hope history repeats itself. But you can see Bradley Johnson being brought back to haunt us, and maybe even Beckford making a miraculous recovery in time for Boxing Day.
GLC Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 i thought he'd get sacked today, shame, but hopefuly they continue there losing run against us
surrifox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 this was pretty much inevitable given their recent disastrous run in the league and cup exit. The dead cat bounce is always something to be wary of but in the form we're in defeat is unthinkable- so I suppose result will be 1-0 (Shush 89th minute)
Nick Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Gus Poyet was at Leicester watching the game with Leeds Chairman yesterday........ Poyet for new manager?
GLC Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Gus Poyet was at Leicester watching the game with Leeds Chairman yesterday........ Poyet for new manager? i think they will learn from the mistakes they have made i.e. they will get someone with experience
Lovejoy Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Gus Poyet was with Ken Bates at their game yesterday ...
Nick Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Gus Poyet was with Ken Bates at their game yesterday ... Did I mis-hear that? I thought they were sizing us up for boxing day!
