Tilley Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Toure to Man City!! Wouldn't suprise me. Had a bust up with Gallas and handed in a transfer request, which was rejected. Expect him to leave, Man City would make sense, I suppose.
lildave3 Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Bridge would be a good signing for City, but £15 million?! Mad. Although I suppose money is no object for them now.
davieG Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Bridge would be a good signing for City, but £15 million?! Mad. Although I suppose money is no object for them now. And that £15 mill will ultimately go out of the country as Chelsea are sure to buy foreign, other countries are getting rich on the back of all our Sky and 'rich mens' money.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 A few sources are reporting Yuri Zhirkov to Newcastle.
morris1234 Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 other rumour that man city are after that mario gomez, apparently almost signed him before robinho came in on the last day. ive also heard newcastle are after zhirkov, they are also apparently after squillaci, a french defender at lyon i think!
RowlattsFox Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 A few sources are reporting Yuri Zhirkov to Newcastle. I liked him at the Euros. Great attacking left back, I would have thought he could do better than Newcastle though.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Jermaine Defoe has said he wants to leave Pompey. Fairplay Jermaine. Glen Johnson to Liverpool. £6.5 Million. Craig Bellamy to Spurs/Villa. £20 Million. Adriano to Man City. £15 Million.

dandannieldanok Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Can people say whether these are actual signings, rumours or just piss takes - thanks. Rumours and piss takes at the minute, no actual transfers except a couple of championship loans have gone through.

Part Of The Crowd Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 luke chadwick, former manchester united winger has gone to mk dons from norwich where he enjoyed a hugely successful loan period earlier this season what a bloody brilliant signing, he is a fantastic player
Uncle Albert Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Here's the link to my Transfer speculations. Not pisstakes as many of you would think. Manchester City manager Mark Hughes will kick off the newly opened January transfer window by paying £15m each for Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz and Inter Milan frontman Adriano. (The Sun) Tottenham and Aston Villa are also interested in Craig Bellamy, who is valued at £20m by the Hammers, and he will hand in a transfer request if he is denied a move away from Upton Park. (Daily Mirror) Liverpool set to sign Portsmouth's Glen Johnson EXCLUSIVE BENITEZ IN £9M SWOOP FOR POMPEY STAR By Tom Hopkinson Glen Johnson will complete a sensational move to Liverpool this week. People Sport understands the Portsmouth right-back was given a tour of the Merseysiders' Melwood training complex in the build-up to Christmas. Reds' boss Rafa Benitez is keen to land him as soon as possible and Liverpool will pay cash-strapped Pompey £9million. Johnson missed the Boxing Day 4-1 home thrashing by West Ham, reportedly through injury, but his appearance on Merseyside will fuel suspicions that a deal is already done. The move will complete a return to the big time for the 24-year-old, whose career has been revitalised since his switch from Chelsea two-and-a-half years ago. (The People)
dandannieldanok Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I'm not sure why clubs are suddenly flocking around Bellamy, especially considering the clubs interested (Spurs, Villa, Man City) have aspirations of the top-four. He's a good player but has never scored goals consistently or even performed well for a stretch of more than 5/10 games. Plus he's nearly 30 now, hardly a great investment. It baffles me when someone like Redknapp scowls at Ramos's signing, then willingly bids for someone mediocre like Bellamy.

I think bellamy would be a great signing for spurs. he has pace a good finish a good touch etc etc. Harry is the kind of man that gets the best out of his players week in week out. IF he goes spurs he will have service throughout the midfield which he lacks at West ham.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Bellamy and Pavlyuchenko has brilliance written all over it.
