jimmer Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 He did very light training today. Do you want to push him into a quick return like they did with Henderson only for it to backfire? Fair shout.........was only teasing! we appreciate your efforts mate
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 it says in the leic mercury that supposedly davies' loan is to be extended, but only for a further 3 weeks. and could be in the squad tomorrow

Ric Flair Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Ah a bit of good news to brighten my dull morning at work Sadly, that was yesterdays Mercury. Today's, say that the issue is 'up in the air'. Not good news.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Just goes to show how playing well against Hinckley means fook all in professional football. is it defo that davies is not coming back ?????????? I though a player couldnt be registerd at more than 2 clubs per season?if thats the case then Davies cannot go out on loan anywhere else so surprising really, should have him on loan till end of season with a option to recall the player if needed by Wolves....Wishfull Thinking

Fulop was on loan to both us and Stoke last season
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 You might be right mate,I thought it was perm & loan deals but like you said Fulop played for City & Stoke so my bad
Lillehamring Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 I thought that was only permanent players. Fulop was on loan to both us and Stoke last season yeah, but hopefully if he is allowed to go back out on loan he will want to come back here rather than go to someone else...
Kopfox Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 According to reports today, he will be coming back for at least 3 weeks, lets hope so!!

Sparky Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 http://www.wolves.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=138393 Mark Davies looks set to have his loan to Leicester extended according to the Leicester Mercury. Talks are said to be taking place aimed at ensuring Sparky is available for the Foxes match with the O's on Saturday. The mooted extension looks only to be for a further three weeks, which could see him return for the season's run in. We have mixed feelings on this one. alent has never been an issue with Mark Davies. What has is his fitness, and unfortunately his head. Whilst another spell at League 1 level may do wonders for both, there is a job to be done in The Championship in an attacking side that plays to all of the injury ravaged midfielders strengths. Fit enough for The Foxes, why not fit enough for Wolves? A question many may be asking themselves at the moment.

knowitall Posted 9 January 2009 Author Posted 9 January 2009 I never said we would not buy or loan players in this window. Just that a large part of the effort this transfer window is going towards getting people out or out on loan. In the past eight transfer windows it has all been about whom can we bring in. I can tell you no names have been brought up in connection with leicester buying or loaning in a player. There is two trailists at the club at this time. I know nothing about them nor have I seen them. They may be youth players for all I know. Matty Fyatt did a full training session today. As for Mark Davies my guess was wrong. Every time we have a player on a short loan I always ask them if they want to sign for the whole season. They have all said in the past"yes". When I asked Mark he hummed and said no but maybe I sign for another month. I took this to mean he would not return to Leicester. I was wrong, but that is the nature of football.

shen Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Good news concerning Fryatt Any news on the Mattock or Kisnorbo front?
JoeyB Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 This guy/ girl is reliable. I hope he keeps feeding us his infomation. KUTGW pal
The Stig Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 I don't check the site for a week and we get drowned in information, I should buggar off more often! Anyway thanks for the continued updates Knowitall. Anyway good news about Davies. He is undoubted quality at this level and it's unlikely but I remain hopeful if we kept him here for as long as possible he may be tempted to stay next season (providing we go up of course). As for DJ & Bruno's wages, more proof if ever it was needed that at times the chairman should really leave it to the manager.
ithuriel Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 this is when we see whether milan is talking crap , the squad needs boosting while we are at the top. we should be looking to add some players now to freshen up the squad and to keep the automatic promotion spot we currently hold.

So you couldn't imagine that we're currently stretching our budget for the season? Martin*, Henderson+ Edworthy, Gilbert* Tunchev, Kisnorbo+, Hobbs*, Morrison, (N'Gotty+ - the highest earner) Mattock, Berner, Powell Gradel, Adams, Oakley, King, Wesolowski+, Clemence+, Dyer, Davies*, Kishishev*** Howard, Fryatt, Dickov, DJ**, Hayles + injured *on loan **away on loan, but paying most of his wages ***released, likely paid off most of his remaining contract That is a first team squad of 20-26 depending on availability/likeliness to feature. And I imagine that quite a few of those are on really high wages for this level. The likes of Howard, Fryatt, Dickov, DJ, Kish, Clem, Oakley, Kisnorbo and even Mattock and Tunch are probably on par with mid/high Championship wages. I would understand MM if he felt we're already stretching it to keep the current squad together, yet he's keeping schtumm and even helped NP add a few quality squad players since the start of the season. We're already doing well sitting on top of the pile half a season in, so why shouldn't the squad keep their form going? I agree though that the wide midfield and attacking area are looking a bit thin, but I'm sure we have the player ressources to cope with potential injuries (apart from certain key players)
