StaffordFoxed Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 It's a strange 1 over here....I get the express and star every day and there is no mention of Mark Davies. Other loanees get a mention yet ours doesn't. Even after such a good game he had for us and Wolves loosing 3-1, there's no mention of him! Probably means nothing, but I keep my eye out for his or our mention......
Thracian Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 who? from Wikipaedia: Jacques Maghoma Attacking midfielder suffered again from injury problems in 2007-08, ruling him out for a spell in mid-season, but recovered to make nine appearances for the reserves, scoring once. Jacques joined our Academy full-time in 2004-05 having impressed as a schoolboy in 2003-04, making 21 appearances for our Under-17 side. Played 21 times for the Under-18s in 2004-05 and made another 23 appearances in 2005-06, where he stepped up to the reserve team and played 10 times during our title-winning campaign. Injuries have restricted Jacques to 14 appearances in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. Or, from Football Talents: ================ 30.06.07: Born in DRCongo in the town of Lubumbashi on the 23/10/87, from parents Rose and Edmond Maghoma, Jacques is a central midfielder who can also play on the right and left wing. With dual citizenship British/Congolese, Jacques Maghoma can represent either England or Congo. With great pace, extreme skill and power combine wih great dribbling qualities, Jacques can destroy a defence in a split of a second. A flair player, he is very direct, has an eye for the goal, decisive and incisive passes. The deadly combination of skill, pace, power, and hard work ehtic makes him one of the most invaluable player a team wants in the side. I have been watching him since his early days and this assessment reflects the player without prejudice.
knowitall Posted 12 January 2009 Author Posted 12 January 2009 ...and I read it to mean that he would relish the opportunity to play regular first team football for a successful team like any other player, as this is the only way to become noticed. As a result he would not be averse to move to a club who aim to challenge for promotion in the Championship next season, where the manager and fans rank him very highly and he carries the respect of team mates.Wrangling may lie ahead - but he would sign for us if he had the choice, I just don't believe McCarthy is going to allow him that choice.
lcfc_jme Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 I love knowitall. What are the chances of us bringing back Mark de Vries? God I loved that man.
Bert Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 Bert is number One. Bert emailed me to say he heard Jacques Maghoma was on trail at Leicester. I was able to Google this player and see what he looked like. This morning whom do I happen to see with NP.............. Lenny Henry.........No just jokin. JACQUES MAGHOMA. His trail ends today dont know what the out come is. Dont be surprised if Ricky Sappleton does not come back to Leicester. Only 50/50 that he will return. Mark Davies I misunderstood. When I asked him if he wanted to sign at least to the end of the season he hummed and said no. I took this as him not wanting to play for us. I now find out that this is not true and in fact it is Wolves who are not too keen on him playing for us. He can not say to much as he is a Wolves players but What a surprise that is. Where's all the doubters now? Cheerio. Thanks for clearing it up knowitall.
The Reverend Posted 12 January 2009 Posted 12 January 2009 What a surprise that is. Where's all the doubters now? Cheerio. Thanks for clearing it up knowitall. I dont think there was any doubters Bert. It was just the way you dangled the carrot, then pulled it away that got peoples backs up.

The Reverend Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 Well that just goes to show that you don't have any contacts then, because it doesn't bother me! To be fair, if i really wanted to find out something i.e who a player was or whatever, i could. But i dont really care, if the players any good and hes on trial, then he'll get signed and i'll find out in due course.

Ric Flair Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 I'm still here and I very much doubt you. Cheerio, thanks for not clearing it up bert. Bert knows his stuff, like i'm sure a few others do. Bert has proven in the past he knows his shit, he just sometimes doesn't give it away for free to all and sundry for obvious reasons. Maghoma was confirmed to me by Bert last week.

Stevosevic Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 For Knowitall... Just ineterested to know how Verma is doing, is it likely he will actually make an appearance before the end of the season?
davieG Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 For Knowitall...Just ineterested to know how Verma is doing, is it likely he will actually make an appearance before the end of the season? I doubt even Pearson knows the answer to that.
Stevosevic Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 I doubt even Pearson knows the answer to that. yes i know, just wondered how he is looking in training, any news really.
Steven Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 I have a wide selection of contacts: Royal Blue of course.
Ric Flair Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 Like Oakley leaving I could just as easily say that he told me that Lloyd Dyer, Nicky Adams and Michael Morrison had all signed for us a few days before it was published.
Alexikokopops Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 I could just as easily say that he told me that Lloyd Dyer, Nicky Adams and Michael Morrison had all signed for us a few days before it was published. And that he used to update Fez and I on the team we were fielding long before it was confirmed elsewhere.
skinnydipper Posted 13 January 2009 Posted 13 January 2009 And that he used to update Fez and I on the team we were fielding long before it was confirmed elsewhere. But a real insider would know who is longest in the shower
